hi, I've seen several Coach pink patent zoe's on ebay with the same serial number: L0893, followed by the style #.
Is this a common practice or the way they do things? Or or these all copies?
I appreciate having a place to come for help and appreciate your time and expertise.
Thank you,
Dotti

Comment: I've already purchased this, and it arrived today. I thought I had looked for all the right features, but I did not ask for photos of the bag flat, so the first thing I should have noticed is that the signature CC do not line up. Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

Hi! Can you tell me if this is real or not? Unfortunately, the current posting does not contain a picture of the creed. I thought the inside should be a solid color? Thanks so much:)

I'm not familiar with that style of bag, having not seen it in person, but based on the seller's other fake Coach listing for a counterfeit wallet, I don't recommend this seller.

Coach no longer uses unique serial numbers so any bags of the same style and made in the same month, year and factory will have the same serial number.

A bag with L0893 (prefix) was made in November, 2008 and 93 is the factory code. The numbers after the hyphen indicate the style number.

But just because a bag has a valid serial number does not necessarily mean that it's authentic. Counterfeiters can and do often use correct serial numbers on fakes.

The bag is fine.

Because of the curvature of the bottom of the bag, it's impossible to perfectly line up and match the C pattern.

Hi, I recently purchased this bag on eBay, and I'm not sure if it's real. I contacted the seller and they told me they would not refund me because they are positive it's real and would mail me a copy of the receipt. But I don't believe a simple receipt would prove anything. I've been told the creed should have some sort of stamp, which it doesn't, and that the pattern should be symmetric all the way around which it isn't.

Please don't believe everything you read in guides. Most guides are filled with misinformation, 1/2 correct information, obsolete info and just plain wrong info.

But I don't believe a simple receipt would prove anything.

Correct. Receipts can be faked and/or authentic receipts can be used to "prove" authenticity of a fake.

I've been told the creed should have some sort of stamp, which it doesn't,

If you're referring to an outlet bullet, not all bags have bullets. Some MFF bags have an "F" style number indicating that it was made for the factory outlet. And even transferred bags from boutiques don't always have bullets.

Otherwise, I'm not sure what other "sort of stamp" you're referring to.

the pattern should be symmetric all the way around which it isn't.

Coach does its best to align and center patterns on those bags that should have centered C patterns but they rarely match perfectly on the sides and bottoms, due to the nature of the pattern placement, shape of the bag and placement of the pattern on the fabric when they cut the fabric to make the bag.
