BB, I found the genuine wallet (Bedford Combo Checkbook Wallet #6996) this one copied and you're right on all counts. Also the real one was only stamped "Coach" in those block letters, NOT "New York". And the Coach logo stamped inside would have been in the corner, not way off toward the center.

It's authentic, but I doubt seriously if it has anything to do with Bonnie Cashin. That bag was made sometime from the later 70's to the mid to late 80's.

I believe the style number is 9535, but for some reason, I have a picture of the bag but I don't have the actual name of the bag.

I'm confused by the color...is it brown as described or is it burgundy/maroon? It looks burgundy to me.

Wait for other opinions.

Thanks, DemRam! I know the Cashin name is misused an awful lot in connection with non-Cashin bags, so I always take it with a grain of salt. The bag looks burgundy to me, too, but the seller describes it as "mahogany" brown. If I decide I'm really interested, I'll ask for clarification.

And I will certainly wait for other opinions here, too. :smile1:
