Hi Jpurses. Please go to post #1 in this thread and you'll see the preferred format for requesting authentication.

That said, that Coach looks legit to me. It is a Baxter bag, but it is missing the shoulder strap. I recently acquired one in burgundy red. It's a beautiful bag.

Welcome to the Purse Forum.

This is the proper format to use when asking for authentications.

It looks fine. It's a "Baxter Satchel" from 1994, though it seems to be missing the detachable shoulder strap.

I like the frames too - very... uuuuummmm, UNIQUE. :graucho:

The entire outfit looks very Granny-friendly. :D

As long as it's not "frumpy" Granny-like. ;)

You, frumpy? NEVER !!! You always make sure your support hose and outfit match perfectly. :okay:

Comments: I found the number on Hyacinth's fakes list. H4b-0532. Interestingly, I found the same number on what looks to be a camera bag on another site.

They are definitely BOTH fakes. Not only the bad "style number", but you can also tell by that awful "stretch-marked" leather.

Quote from Hyacinth's Post: The H4B-05xx sequence belonged to travel and business bags and briefcases, not handbags.

Item: Black Coach Station Bag
Style: Number 5130, made in the US in 1995
Seller: Savers Thrift Store $8
Dimensions: 9.5” high by 9” wide by 2” deep
Photos: http://s1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee413/katev2/Coach Station Bag Black/

Comments: This is my first station bag and I am hoping that it is genuine, please authenticate; thank you. I had a difficult time getting a decent creed picture, even with "eyeshadow enhancements!" Let me know if you need more photos.

I have seen this bag listed as “Station”, “Willis Station” and “Legacy Station”, what is the correct name? TIA!

Item: Black Coach Gramery Zip
Style: Number 7001, made in Italy in 1998
Seller: Salvation Army Thrift Store $45
Dimensions: 7” high by 9.5 wide by 3.5” deep
Photos: http://s1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee413/katev2/Coach Gramercy Zip Black/

Comments: As usual, the creed picture were the hardest; let me know if you need additional photos. The hangtag is unusual; it is similar to the goldtone tags that Coach often sends out as a replacement, but it is smaller and thicker. I've included photos of both hangtags for comparison.

I hope this beautiful bag is genuine! Please authenticate and thanks for your help!!

It looks ok from what I can see. And it's just called a Station Bag but until the late 1980s it was called a Large Shoulder Pouch.

It looks fine. Those were never faked as far as I know. Nice find!

Thank you! I think that it would be difficult to fake this bag, so many textures and details!

Do you know the name for the texture of the leather? It is not caviar leather like my Italian Madison bags; it's more "brushed" or "linen-like"?

I think "linen-weave" or something like that was how it was described, but there's nothing in my catalogs that I can find. It's a bit like LV's Epi leather but not as deeply textured.

Title: Coach Wallet
Item number: 2124977
Seller: lenoralb
Link: http://www.listia.com/auction/2124977-coach-wallet

Comments: Does this look right? The Coach imprint on the front is off-center, "New York" looks slightly too close to the edge and the Coach lozenge imprint looks too far away from the edge.

Is it authentic? Thanks.

BB, I found the genuine wallet (Bedford Combo Checkbook Wallet #6996) this one copied and you're right on all counts. Also the real one was only stamped "Coach" in those block letters, NOT "New York". And the Coach logo stamped inside would have been in the corner, not way off toward the center.
