I understand that the seller wants to keep the bag brand new and "untouched by human hands," but in doing so, she's not showing the necessary pictures for authentication.

As the bag is shown in the listing is how it comes when ordered and shipped directly from Coach. and is probably okay.

Generally, we never advise buying from a listing that doesn't show what is needed for verification of auhtenticity.
How many fakes are there on ebay 25 percent or so?

Obviously, I need to put watermarks on my photos to prove their mine as well. I've just been importing my pictures to Picassa, then to my listing. Pardon my ignorance, but how do you put on a watermark? (like I said...I'm still learning some of this stuff:p)
I'm not familiar with Picassa, so I don't know if they have that feature. I usually use photoshop because you create your watermark once, and then it is saved and you just have to click on one thing to add it to your picture. The only problem I have is that I have to move it around to put it in the best place on the picture, and sometimes I have to make the print bigger or smaller to match the size of the photo. Sometimes I have to change the color of the watermark so it will contrast with the photo. Then you have to use photoshop layer blending options to lighten it if you don't want it to overpower your pictures. I use my ebay id as my watermark.
This is the tutorial I used to learn how to do it in Photoshop:
http://www.all-things-photography.com/add-a-watermark.html

This is part of the message ebay sent me when my picture was stolen:

"While there is no foolproof method to keep other members from
downloading your pictures, you can use a watermark to discourage them.

You can add a watermark when you upload your picture to the listing
form. Here's how:

1. In the selling form, scroll to the "Bring your pictures to life"
section.
2. Click the "Add or remove options" link, and then select one or both
picture watermark options:
-- Enable watermarking with my eBay user ID
-- Enable watermarking with the eBay camera icon
3. Click the "Save" button.
4. Continue filling out the form.

You can also create a watermark with most graphic editing software. I
recommend putting the watermark in the middle of the picture. This will
make it difficult to remove the watermark without distorting the image."

I never tried ebay's suggestions, but that might be the easiest, but since I imbed all my photos except for the free one in the listing, I don't think the ebay watermarking would work for me.

I upload my photos to Photobucket. They have a section called tools, and when you select a photo, you can use the decorate function to add text with a transparent background, so you can use that as a watermark. I haven't been able to figure out how to add it to a bunch of photos at once, so it looks like you have to create it for each picture. You should see what features Picasa offers, but if you have to create it anew for each picture, then it is probably easier to do in Photoshop, if you have it, or some other photo editing program. You can probably even do it in paint.

So there are lots of ways to do it, and I am sure one of these will work for you. Feel free to ask for help from me if you need it.

I posted last night page 1085 with added photos, does anyone have any thoughts on whether or not this bag is a fake or real. The seller said that there was YKK on the zippers too. Don't know if that means anything.

Thanks!
I am new to all of this!

It depends on what kind of item you're asking about. With Coach, it varies depending on how enthusiastic Ebay is at that particular time about removing fakes. My rough guess would be - bags, current AND classic all-leather, around 10-15 percent. Wallets, 10-20 percent, maybe more. Keychains, 20-25 percent. Other accessories would be in about the same range, and at times the percentage of fakes has been much higher.

The more expensive the brand gets, the higher the percentage of fakes - brands like Vuitton, Hermes, Chanel, etc should NEVER be bought on Ebay or any other online source without valid authentication unless it's from a legitimate seller of luxury bags like Net-a-Porter, authorized retail partners like Macy's, Nordstroms, etc, or the manufacturers' own sites.

I understand now, thank you very much. I posted a pebble leather that I just purchased and have not received. Do you have an opinion on it? I know I'm a pita. Thanks, I really appreciate you helping me since I'm so purse ignorant.

The pebbled leather bag you asked about in this post

really needs a better photo of the creed patch. It's probably genuine but the letters almost look like they're on an angle. Coach may have done a few creeds with that style lettering but it would really help to see a readable photo of the stamping.

Just click on the photo so it appears on its own page and Copy & Paste the URL from that page into your post. I don't know where you got the above link but it's much too long and I can't make either half work correctly. Can you try again using JUST the URL of the photo?

ETA - Never mind, I see you got the Thumbnails link to work.

please tell me if this is real
thx ahead jj

The checkbook holder is fake. The Cs are too big and the C pattern should be centered correctly. Also Coach doesn't sell checkbook holders separately, but even if someone took this out of a checkbook wallet, it's still counterfeit.

This is what an Op Art checkbook pattern should look like:

It's impossible to say since the only photo in the listing isn't of the actual bag being sold, it's a stock photo illegally copied from Coach's site for selling purposes. You have no way of knowing what you'll actually receive. I'd ask the seller for photos of the actual bag - inside, outside, creed patch, base, and both sides of the changing pad.

Never buy from a seller who doesn't take their own photos. And no, YKK on a zipper proves absolutely NOTHING about authenticity. Read my signature at the bottom of my posts.

Here's Coach's actual photo of that bag right from their website - see any differences?

Have I told you that you're awesome? Well you are....I need to be badly educated. I bought 3 Coach purses online this week alone and I have no idea if they are real. Time will tell.

Post photos here of the bags when you get them especially clear readable photos of the creed patches. We'll tell you right away if they're genuine. If they're not, that gives you plenty of time to file a SNAD claim with Ebay or ask your credit card company to cancel the transaction and credit your account.
