You're welcome.

Adding to what's been said, it appears that the "Bonnie Cashin Foundation" website is Not accepting Authenticity questions and photos, at least as of today. It says "returning soon".

There is a Click On email to submit "research questions", but that's definitely not the way it used to be set up. I hope they're just taking a vacation!

:smile1:

Maybe they're tired of looking at all those keyword-spamming listings on Fleabay that have Cashin or Cashin-era in the title and having to tell the buyers that BC was long gone from Coach when almost all of them were made. I doubt if even one out of ten "Cashin" listings has any connection to her.

I hope the Cashin Foundation hasn't given up because of the stupid sellers and the bad information on ebay.

I've had a Saved Search for "Cashin" items since ebay allowed a "saved search".

The number of auctions using her name seems to grow by the day. 90% of the current auctions using Cashin's name have Nothing at all to do with her...and yet people are willing to believe they are buying or selling something special.

I'm ranting and I'm done.

The Cashin Foundation's Authentication Service has been "returning soon" for quite some time. I remember seeing that last summer when I was looking for my first (and so far only) genuine Cashin bag.

Check out the thread below, DemRam and Bunny provided great pics and info to help in identifying a genuine Cashin bag:

Oh no! I didn't know the she wasn't "authenticating". I haven't used the authentication service at the BCF for a few years. Without that resource, there is no where to go to get an accurate answer...

:confused1:

Are these two items authentic ?

Item Name :COACH 15942 Madison Gathered Leather Sophia Satchel NWT

Welcome to tPF. For future requests, please use the posting format requested here. It's helpful in future searches for seller IDs and/or listings. http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-577470.html#post14912099

Item: COACH 15942 Madison Gathered Leather Sophia Satchel NWT
Item number: 270758430285
Seller: tnkm
Link: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270758430285

I wouldnn't buy from tnkm or her other ID, boostani on Bonanza. (Although the locations are different, they seem to be the same seller.)

The seller doesn't use her own pictures. Most listings steal copyrighted stock photos from Coach and not only does she steal pictures but she adds her own watermark to them.

The seller has a camera and uses it for pictures in some of her listings. She should show ONLY her own pictures of her actual items in ALL her listings.

In the listing in question, only the gallery photo shows an actual picture and there's not enough detail to authenticate. All the other pics in the listing are stolen.

Ugh! Another seller with a stock photos in her listings!

And some of ksb1983 's listings don't even have any additional pictures of the actual item as in this example:
http://cgi.ebay.com/new-POPPY-SEQUI...225?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item4aabe0f371

Sorry, this is another that I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending.

ETA: In fact, many of her listings only have the stock photo gallery pic without any other pictures in the listing. THere's no telling what you'll receive.
