Thank you! I just hope that they turn out to be genuine! It might be hard for Hyacinth or DemRam to find the original posts since we've been discussing the bags; here they are.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Carlyle?

Ergo?

I *think* the 1st one is the Carlyle, but I only have one bad photo of that style and no measurements.

The 2nd one: I don't have style number 9033 on my list, which doesn't mean anything, but I'm not familiar with it.

Definitely wait for Hyacinth to comment on both of those bags.

:smile1:

I'm fairly certain that it's just a simple mistake in the wording. The bag looks good as does the creed.

I've purchased from that seller and I've never known them to sell anything but authentic Coach.

:smile1:

Thanks very much, DemRam. Appreciate it.
Excited about my new bag!
Oh shoot--forgot to ask--do you happen to know what year it is?

Item: Black Carlyle?
Listing number: NA
Seller: Savers Thrift Store
Photos: http://s1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee413/katev2/Black Italian Bag/
Dimensions: 8x8x3

Comments: The creed pics didn’t come out very clear; let me know if you need more photos. The construction of this bag looks like an authentic Italian-made Coach to me. It appears to have the same leather texture, lining, zipper and pull, and hardware as my Gracie and Royalton bags. The wording on the creed patch is also the same; but the serial number has 4 digits followed by 3 digits. I know that Coach used this configuration for serial numbers in the late 80s but I didn’t think that they used it while they were making bags in Italy? It was only $8 and it looked good to me so I decided to take a chance. Please authenticate and thanks in advance for your assistance!

It's fine. The Madison line came out in 1993 while Coach was still using all-numeric serial numbers so it's a safe bet yours was made in 1993 or very early 1994 before the new numbering system was used across all model lines.

The style 9033 you asked about in your other post is an Ergo Pocket Flap from 1998.

One of theses days you'll have to take the rest of us to your thrift shops!

Thanks so much, maybe someday I will find a Kelly bag, in red! :D

A vintage road trip, that sounds like fun! Bebepurse and I will can act as tour guides since we often prowl some of the same thrift shops!

I HAVE WON THIS ITEM W/OUT GETTING MORE INFO...I KNOW, I KNOW...EVEN WORSE THAT THIS IS A NEW SELLER...ANYWAY, I HAVE REC'D THE WALLET TODAY AND CONCERNED THAT THERE IS NO CREED IMPRINT OR LOGO ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT AS THE WALLETS USUALLY HAVE. NOTHING EITHER ON THE LINING MATERIAL OR THE BUCKLE IN THE FRONT. THE ONLY THING THAT SAYS COACH IS THE SNAP BUTTON CLOSURE....THESE ARE PIX THAT I HAD TAKEN MYSELF. PLEASE AUTHENTICATE! AS ALWAYS, THANK U!

It looks ok to me too. As Hyacinth says, not all Soho wallets have stamped buckles. Also, the checkbook holder is missing. The Coach imprint is on the checkbook holder part.

BETTYBOOP, all those styles also have plain linings. Stop worrying and wrap your sister's gift. :smile1:

Authentic? Looks like the real thing though I'm not sure if there are fake like ones around.
Both pieces appear to be okay but more pics are needed before I'd feel comfortable giving a green light.

Please request a picture of the interior and a clear closeup of the creed.

For the wallet, please request a closeup of the front of the wallet and buckle as well as a picture of the inside and any imprints on the wallet.

Hello, I ended up getting the COACH KRISTIN ELEVATED LEATHER SAGE RD SATCH 16823.

If you could authenticate I would greatly appreciate it.

TIA :smile1:
