Can someone authenticate this? Thanks!

I'd like to see a clearer picture of the creed.

I do have a comment about this seller - oxforddepot copied the description from this seller:
http://cgi.ebay.com/AUTH-Coach-Purs...028?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item3f0a24a7ac

The seller should be writing his/her own description, not using (stealing) someone else's work.

Item: Black Carlyle?
Listing number: NA
Seller: Savers Thrift Store

Dimensions: 8x8x3

Comments: The creed pics didn’t come out very clear; let me know if you need more photos. The construction of this bag looks like an authentic Italian-made Coach to me. It appears to have the same leather texture, lining, zipper and pull, and hardware as my Gracie and Royalton bags. The wording on the creed patch is also the same; but the serial number has 4 digits followed by 3 digits. I know that Coach used this configuration for serial numbers in the late 80s but I didn’t think that they used it while they were making bags in Italy? It was only $8 and it looked good to me so I decided to take a chance. Please authenticate and thanks in advance for your assistance!

Comments: I know that this bag has been faked but this one seemed pretty good to me and I know that Coach did make bags in Turkey. Please authenticate and thank you again for your assistance!

Wait for the experts regarding authenticity. I have a comment to make about Savers.

Although I get so frustrated when I go there and see the horrendous fakes locked up in the "expensive" case, I've found some wonderful Gucci, Dooney and Coach in the "junk" ones. (Evidently, they thought they were fake and they were super cheap.) I got a new-looking vintage Gucci for $4.99, a Coach leather wristlet for $3.99 and a Dooney for $6.99.

Then in the glass cases and behind the counter, they had "made in Korea" fakes, awful signature bags and LV fakes as well as other brands ranging from $39.99 to $99.99.

Go figure!

I've had the same experience! I haven't been at all impressed with the bags they have locked up in the expensive case but I've found some nice items out with the regular stock, cheaply priced and mixed in with the plastic bags. But I'm not complaining and it doesn't frustrate me at all - it makes me want to do the happy dance in the middle of the aisle!

When I was there today I also picked up a sweet little black suede and goldtone Meyers evening bag for only $4 (see pics at the link below.)

It's nicely made and I recognized the Meyers name because I have a "Bonnie Cashin for Meyers" bag. I'm sure that it is not a highly expensive bag but it was still a lot nicer than some of their higher-priced bags! Oh well, more bargains for me! :graucho:

But they really should authenticate before they price them - especially if they are planning to put a high price tag on an item.

Ditto for me on that too. The Coach bag in the cabinet was fake and was on "auction". The same day I found a Louis Vuitton mini bag mixed in with the regular purses for $4.99.

I'm not complaining about finding deals myself.

This is what frustrates me! That they make no attempt to authenticate yet they charge top dollar.

And when told that the items are fake, they shrug, lock the case and tell me to have a nice day.

Their excuse is that they take in too much inventory to authenticate. They don't sell it as authentic; they freely admit to not knowing whether it's real. (I'm quoting them.)

Nice finds Katev! You are always finding awesome stuff, I want to shop where you shop!!!!

Thank you! I just hope that they turn out to be genuine! It might be hard for Hyacinth or DemRam to find the original posts since we've been discussing the bags; here they are.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Lovely Coach Experts! I just purchased this bag from Bonanza a few minutes ago from one of our trusted sellers, and already paid. But, still, can you please authenticate it for me? Thanks!!!

Item: City Bag
Link: http://www.bonanza.com/booths/SCECKERT/items/36758244
Seller: SCECKERT
Comments: The listing says Made in USA, but the Creed reads Costa Rica. I hope that it is just a simple mistake, but of course, I'm wondering about it.

Thanks again! :flowers:

I'm fairly certain that it's just a simple mistake in the wording. The bag looks good as does the creed.

I've purchased from that seller and I've never known them to sell anything but authentic Coach.
