This looks really strange to me. Is this authentic?

The stripe on the bag is actually a darker shade than the picture shows but I think the camera flash makes it a much lighter color especially because it's that shiny material. Looks okay to me but I would definitely wait for the experts!

I've NEVER seen the stripe color look so far off. And look at the last pic on the right, the one that shows the inside - even with NO flash hitting it AND a dark brown dustbag underneath it so there's no possibility of anything reflecting on it, that stripe still looks waaaaaaay too pale. And something else doesn't look quite right either.

I personally wouldn't bid on it.

1. The signature C's are not symmetric.
2. The serial number looks unreal. I believe the second set always consists of 5 digits and sometimes there is a letter at the beginning of those 5 digits.
3. The stitching on the creed is very poor. The lower stitching is doubled and uneven.
Is it a fake. Am I right?
:useless: Sorry, forgot the pics!!!

VERY fake - is this an auction listing, and can you post the link?

And yes, please read the Answers thread - there's NO rule about how many digits are in a serial number. In fact, I've said before that there should be at least 7 digits in the serial number and I've found several exceptions to that "rule" too.

In afterthought I completely agree with you. I just know that when I take personal pictures of some of my bags, there is a glare from that kind of fabric. However, the description says "light blue" and I would never consider the stripe to be light blue. I am not by no means an expert so I shall always leave the final call to you lovely ladies!! :D

How do these look?

Does anyone have any pointers when looking at scarves/ponytails? Are there dead give aways like on most handbags that scream FAKE? I am wanting to get my first scarf but have no clue what I'm looking for. Any help would be much appreciated! TIA!

Those 2 listings looks fine.

I haven't seen many (if any) fake ponytail scarves because they're fairly inexpensive for authentic. It probably isn't worth the counterfeiters' time to make fakes.

What do you think of people who claim to have the original receipt to prove authenticity?

The original receipt doesn't prove much.

1. Seller might have purchased an authentic item and uses that receipt to sell fakes and "prove" authenticity.
2. Seller might have purchased an authentic item and uses that receipt for the authentic item.
3. Seller might have purchased a template from Eye-sore and makes her own "original receipts."

These are reasons that Ebay no longer accepts receipts as proof of authenticity.
