This is all very confusing! Is this seller saying that they get Coach bags directly from the Coach factory? How is that possible AND when did coach start selling directly to ebay sellers?

The other confusion lies in the listing itself - the seller is registered in the United States yet the item location is Toronto!

:shrugs:

they explained that by factory direct they meant the factory store (or outlet)-it's not common but even here some outlets call themselves factory direct stores (maybe it's a northern thing?)...i agree some of the stuff being said is confusing but i think you all are reading WAY to much into it. as for the registration they could have moved for work, school, marriage, etc and never made a new ebay account. my account was registered in the us when i lived in africa (i'm from the states but moved to africa for school for a semester, came home for a semester, then went back for another semester so i was living in 3 different countries during that year). after the bag was authenticated on the other forum i posted it on i decided i'd purchase it as a gift; it was indeed an authentic bag (and got to me in 2 days-granted i'm not that far from the canadian border). i don't know if that seller is mixing fake and authentic bags or not, but what i got was nwt, all hangtags, and was 100% authentic (i took it to a coach store and asked my sa-she even compared it to the floor model right in front of me just to double check).

I think I'm losing my mind.

It finally dawned on me - that is the same bag you asked about earlier in the week - but you didn't have actual photos.

Hyacinth narrowed the years of manufacture to 1990 - 1993 and I certainly agree with that.

As far as the Dooney question (#2179) ...I didn't realize there was not a forum for that bag. I do know there are people on the ebay "Shoes, Purses and Accessories" board who know that brand. That is if you feel comfortable posting a question there.

:smile1:
Thanks again! I don't expect you to remember my earlier question when you have so many from different people!;) I do appreciate your help. I will check into the info you gave about my Dooney bag.

I'd say it's a fake.
1. The signature C's are not symmetric.
2. The serial number looks unreal. I believe the second set always consists of 5 digits and sometimes there is a letter at the beginning of those 5 digits.
3. The stitching on the creed is very poor. The lower stitching is doubled and uneven.
Is it a fake. Am I right?

:useless: Sorry, forgot the pics!!!

Please read "Answers to Authenticity Questions" to find out more about Authenticity clues. The C's are not always symmetric (see opric lurex, or the "back side" of many bags). The 2nd set of numbers can have 4 digits, can have a letter in those digits on some bags. Stitching on old Authentic Sonoma purses can be very bad.

Anyone unsure about authenticity should post pictures here!

ETA: I see you posted pictures. I will leave it to the experts from here. But it is still a good idea to read "Answers to Authenticity Questions"

I have this wristlet I purchased off ebay a year or so ago. When I first received it I thought it could be a fake, but after reading this board recently, I think it may be authentic. Opinions?

The fabric is purple signature with brown suede trim, interior is brown fabric, no creed inside, but "Made in China" tag sewn inside. No idea on age, style number or name.

I've studied the resources but am still unsure if I have a real or fake? Would anyone be gracious and lend their skill? I know you have to be very careful with the Carly's.

Many thanks!

The stripe on the bag is actually a darker shade than the picture shows but I think the camera flash makes it a much lighter color especially because it's that shiny material. Looks okay to me but I would definitely wait for the experts!
