How do these look?

Does anyone have any pointers when looking at scarves/ponytails? Are there dead give aways like on most handbags that scream FAKE? I am wanting to get my first scarf but have no clue what I'm looking for. Any help would be much appreciated! TIA!

:yahoo:Thank you, DemRam! This is the bag I asked you about a few days ago. I bought it for $1.00! Your white one is pretty! I was thinking of selling this one, but I really like it & it's my oldest Caoch, so I'll keep it! I appreciate your help, you're awesome!:D

I think I'm losing my mind.

It finally dawned on me - that is the same bag you asked about earlier in the week - but you didn't have actual photos.

Hyacinth narrowed the years of manufacture to 1990 - 1993 and I certainly agree with that.

As far as the Dooney question (#2179) ...I didn't realize there was not a forum for that bag. I do know there are people on the ebay "Shoes, Purses and Accessories" board who know that brand. That is if you feel comfortable posting a question there.

It is phenix-volant, and he or she had a few questions. They didn't purchase, though. I went back and looked...my bad. For me, nwot is a bag that has been carried once or twice with absolutley no damage. I am not the only one who sells for us. I don't carry a bag or wallet with the tags. As for my very fast response, I didn't mean to write before they are tagged. I meant sell them to you with no tags. I get 60 or so emails a day and am up late and sometimes i don't make sense. Some of our items do have tags, though. I looked on ebay and there are several sellers that have bags with no tags. I bought one recently off of a seller who got it from an outlet (Tangiers outlet) and had no tags, no receipt. It is a Coach Lozenge satchel bag and i totally love it and it is authentic. I know i will be questioned but I am not a scammer. Check my feedback. There are people on this forum who have bought our bags. And do i make some huge profit? No. I buy them first or my friend buys them first. By the time we pay fees and such, i don't average much. But i love Coach and it is a hobby to me and gives me a little spending money here and there. :)

I just have to mention, you Should say your bags are in Excellent used condition. A bag that is NWOT is just that - New and without tags, like if you cut the tag when you got home, never used it, and then decided to sell.

i agree with you cz22, but i have a feeling a number of sellers do things the same way as lovepointers-not that that makes it right, but when buying i usually keep that in mind (needless to say i never by nwot unless it's a bag i know will get tossed around-like a straw bag i bought for the beach-because i always have that doubt in the back of my mind)

What matters is what "new" means to Ebay - read the Rules:

"What "new" means

An item is considered "New" when it meets the following guidelines:

  • It's in the original condition from the manufacturer, distributor, or retailer.
  • It has not been refurbished or used for any purpose.
  • It has no known defects or damages."
http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/providing_item_condition.html

"Used once or twice" still means USED. If someone sold me a bag they'd used and claimed it was new, I'd be slapping them with a SNAD claim.

It seems disrespectful to potential sellers to operate this way. Also, if you don't bother to take the time to make sense, you could mislead someone and wind up trouble. Why aren't you more careful? If you don't have the time to be selling these properly, perhaps you shouldn't be doing it.

This is all very confusing! Is this seller saying that they get Coach bags directly from the Coach factory? How is that possible AND when did coach start selling directly to ebay sellers?

The other confusion lies in the listing itself - the seller is registered in the United States yet the item location is Toronto!

I was trying to determine if it were possible for 2 bags to have the exact same number from 2006 (J0673-10620). Any thoughts?

Yes, there definitely can be many bags with the identical letters and numbers.

The J0673 indicates a month, year and factory code. The 10620 is the "style number" of the bag. So you can just imagine how many of the same bags are made in any particular month, year and factory. They would all be stamped with the exact letter/ number combination.

Here is a link with Hyacinth's post #256. It has lots of information on Coach in general.
