@sare_bear320
doing exactly that. the seller told me he'll email them to me. I will post back once I received them. thanks again for the help. :)

you're welcome, i noticed there are a few us sellers selling the brown bag with international shipping (one is used and one is nwt but has some scuffs) and they are asking less for the bag (not sure how you feel about imperfections or buying from the us and having to possibly pay customs, but they are asking around S$380 which is closer in price to what it cost at the outlets here). here are the links to those 2 auctions if you'd like to take a look (neither auction is mine)

Thanks sare_bear320. I have no issues ordering online, if only to be sure that what I am getting is an authentic one, especially with the number of replicas that are around. those auctions you have posted are pretty good, thanks so much for those. given the price difference, I would really consider them.

anyway, the seller has provided me pictures of the item. some look like stock item pics (at least for me, but hey, I am a noob at these things). I have uploaded them here. though they look better than those ones posted in the ad, imho.

So, I already bought this bag on ebay without checking here first so I am hoping y'all will confirm. I think it's real judging by other purses I have seen. It's a factory bag, apparently. I don't know if you can see the number inside the purse, but that last little bit is F12869.

it looks good to me (so did the 2 auctions i posted for you), but i'd wait for starry, hyacinth, or margarita to weigh in before buying just to make sure (they have a better eye at this than i do, but it looks like mine from those pics)

I am just starting to get into collecting Coach bags and want to make sure I am buying the real deal. How is it that I bought off a site (took my chances) that I was told only sells fakes and actually received an authentic one (had it looked at on here)? Can it be that not all sites sell fakes and most of us just jump to conclusions? Why isn't it that some people actually buy these handbags at sales and resale them themselves? And as for the stock photos or one-two pictures that some sellers provide, what happens if they have a lot of stock and to cut down on labour and time (and all their handbags come wrapped and enclosed as not to open a new package); it in turn provides the buyer with a great deal? Just want some input from you ladies so I have a better understanding of purchasing a Coach handbag and not get ripped off.

TIA

I don't know which website you purchased from so I can't comment. There are many, many websites that sell nothing but counterfeit bags. There are other websites that have "individual sellers" and they have a mixture of real and fake.

I know many reputable Coach sellers on ebay and they are the ones that take the time and make the effort to photograph each and every bag they sell. They also don't "steal" stock photos from Coach's website because they are too lazy to take their own pictures.

The ONLY way you can be sure you don't get ripped off is to know what you're buying and to deal with honest sellers.

And if you don't know for sure - you can always ask your questions here!

If you're buying an expensive bag online, why would you want to "take your chances"? The only way to guarantee that the bag is authentic is to buy from a reputable, trusted seller who takes his/her OWN pictures of the bags and shows more than one picture, and who doesn't steal copyrighted photos from Coach and from other sellers. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to do business with someone with such unethical business practices. Regardless of what you may think, stealing photos and copyrighted pictures is WRONG.

Frankly, when sellers steal photos, there's NO WAY of knowing just what you're getting. If you don't want to get ripped off, I would advise that you not buy from anyone who engages in this behavior because even if you weren't scammed this time, you're setting yourself up to be. I see no reason why legitimate sellers can't take their own pictures of their merchandise.
