This is definately real. It is $348 American Retail. As far as bidding, it depends how much you want it. Does Coach.com not ship to Australia? If you really want it and it is cheaper to pay retail or "near retail" here plus shipping I would be willing to bid up to the retail price. It does look like it is in new condition.
Thanks so much for your help!
Will let you know how I go!

I really like this. The drill-down comes up with a tradition Sig Stripe Pouch.

The impression of the creed shows all sorts of rough edges where the ink has run over the edge of the impression, the creed patch doesn't match the leather on the rest of the bag, the chain holding the hangtag looks much too short, the round brass Anniversary medallion shouldn't be attached to the zipper pull, NONE of the hardware has Coach stamped into it - why do you think it's real? Everything on that bag is saying Fake.

I went to Dillard's tonight to check out this bag that they have there. The serial number on the one in Dillard's is: 40513, which doesn't match the one on the ebay listing at all. I tried pulling it up on the drilldown and nothing for that serial number comes up. One thing too, the one at Dillard's had the creed patch and the Coach hangtag as a yellow goldish color, not blue like the ones in this e-bay auction show.
Anyway, I'm not the best at authenticating, so Hyacinth I'm going to go with your review of this. You're the best at authenticating! :wlae:

Okay I have another - this one is being sold on Australia's eBay site so I'm a little excited!

I've asked for more photos of the inside/creed (I'm learning!)
If it is authentic, what is it? What does/did it retail for?
Thank you again!

Mamaduke, I see several danger signs already, but it depends what the photos will show. The seller says "I[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]nside of bag is lined with Coach monogramed satin fabric", which I am assuming means either the Signature C fabric or the Coach lozenge fabric. A bag with a Signature pattern on the outside will NEVER have a Signature fabric on the inside. Signature bags will usually have solid color linings. And if the lining is a shiny satin, that's another sign of a fake. Coach's lining fabrics are almost never shiny.

Also the seller calls it a Legacy Bag, which I'm pretty sure it is not, and the shape of the C's isn't quite right. Please DON'T bid on this until we can see more photos.

Thanks so much for checking, Pompilit! Since it was made exclusively for Dillards, the style number won't come up in the drilldown.

that looks just like my DH's wallet, with the embossed part, so I would vote real, but I wish there was a closer up pic of the emblem, just to be sure

Court, the DD shows what looks like some kind of flap over the left side slots, or maybe it's some kind of removeable ID holder. Does your DH's wallet have that, or is that maybe one of the things that didn't make it into production?

The seller's low BIN price worries me, and so does this part of the description:
Sealed in factory plastic with price tag and Coach booklet

I always thought Coach doesn't seal leather items in plastic since leather needs to breathe?

Well it is way less seeing as on Coach.com you have to pay for tax. Altogether it came to $420+ on coach.com. Tax, shipping.

Do you think it's in bad condition?

Should I wait for a better one?

And what does this mean?

"and two minor punctures on the pocket to prevent store returns."

Do they usually do this and why? Does that mean it has already been returned?

I don't think Coach would ever do something like that that would damage the bag. Honestly, I'd stay away from that one, or spend thirty dollars more for a brand-new one from Coach. That comes out to what, seven percent more for a brand new bag?
