Hi. Not silly...I just recently learned about it, too! It's a Coach website where you can check into the Authentic Coach styles. Ex: type in this web address: http://www.coach.com/assets/product_images/drilldown1/6019_d1.jpg
Then, you can type in the style number you want to search for where it shows the 4 digit number in the web address. (i.e.: change the # "6019" to whatever style # you want to search for...like "6094" for the Sign Demi.
Hope this makes sense.

The first bag is similar to some I've seen at the outlets but I can't find another like it on Ebay or anyplace else. If this is an Ebay auction, can you post the auction number? There are a few details on the bag I'd like to see more closely.

The second bag is definitely fake - the creed patch is incorrect and the serial number is in the wrong place and the wrong format.

The seller's bag may be genuine but it's described as showing signs of wear and dusty and that's not a good sign.

They made two hobos in the pastel Scribble pattern - the Large hobo is style #133 and is about 11x15, and the small hobo is style # 132 and about 8x11.

Do an Advanced Search at Ebay for Coach 132 or Coach 133 and make sure you check off the box that says Check Titles AND Descriptions and you should find several of each.
