Good afternoon,
Can you please take a look at these listings (all 3 from the same seller) ? These bags don't look right to me, and the seller has recently sold a bag with a UOJ- creed, and another with a made in Korea creed. (I am not the buyer.)

Item: CLASSIC! Vtg COACH Black LEATHER Duffle DRAWSTRING Shoulder DESIGNER BAG Purse
Listing number: 162052172154
Seller: rafariki
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CLASSIC-Vtg...ING-Shoulder-DESIGNER-BAG-Purse-/162052172154
Comments: The creed seems blurry - not sure if that is the picture or the creed itself. Happy to request another photo, if that would help.

Thank you in advance for your help! Happy Friday! :D

The second seller's feedback is a bit shaky, although the first Negative was undeserved and from a clueless buyer who didn't like the leather texture of a bag she bought - so how is that the SELLER'S fault? But the rest of the Negatives are for allegations of fake bags and item conditions that weren't described accurately. (The seller also doesn't know the difference between a Station Bag and a Willis and couldn't be bothered to look up the style number, but the other problems in her history are more serious assuming the buyers are being honest). The bag itself is genuine but not vintage since it's only from 2000. The lower parts of the bag also look a bit scuffed.
Regarding seller #2, rafariki, did you happen to see this bag she sold for $99.99/b.o.? The poor buyer!

This is the listing and in case it's removed, a couple of pictures:

YUCK.

Definitely NOT a Recommended Seller!

DAMN, you're too fast! I had a nice long report ready to rip T&S a new arsehole but there's nothing left to report.

WTF is a crook with a Feedbck rating of 88.9 percent still doing on Ebay???

SELLER " marmar.13ulrubx " HAS LISTED AND SOLD ATLEAST SEVEN FAKE COACHES!!!! They should be avoided, shunned, and have their photo on the front page of Scammers Quarterly as well as in every local police station and flea market within a hundred miles, and I hope every dog in their neighborhood pees in their swimming pool!

BB, do you still have one of their listings available? What town do these lowlifes pollute with their presence? I'd like to make a note of it.
ETA - Never mind, I've got it - El Paso TX. They probably buy those P'sOS in Juarez. :censor:

She also sold a couple of fake Gucci (Canal Street obvious fakes) as a lot and I doubt that the Michael Kors bags are authentic but I don't know them to report.

Give me a minute and I'll see if I can find caches of any listings. It might take a while to get them to come up in Google searches.

I was able to get 3 of the listings to come up:

Thanks! I added an ETA to my first answer when I found a few of the listings in Ebay.ca. They live in El Paso.

SHEESH, what a pile of trash!

I've been looking to add to my collection, i found some i like on Ebay, I'm not sure about these 2 items items, the purse is PVC according to the seller, when I wrote her she said all her listings were authentic but I didn't know Coach made any PVC bags

I have a plaid purse, the same colors and fabric as the wallet and it is like synthetic fabric Coach uses in their bags. For the other one with the black strap, the strap looks like one on a Poppy bag of mine that started fraying. I had to repair it by trying to trim the edges and sewing over them.

I noticed that re-dyed purple Sling a few days ago. How well the dye takes depends on the person doing the dyeing and the products they use. I hope WHATEVE will take a look at the listing and description and post her thoughts since she has so much more experience in major rehabs than I do (which is zero). The seller/rehabber does say "moisturize ONLY" so I'm guessing that dunking isn't recommended, and she does give a lot of detail about the re-dye.

The bag, assuming it was originally purple, is probably from 1993 although the purple pictured in the catalogs for that year has more red tones in it. Coach's early purples had a tendency to get blotchy so I can understand the re-dye.

The second seller's feedback is a bit shaky, although the first Negative was undeserved and from a clueless buyer who didn't like the leather texture of a bag she bought - so how is that the SELLER'S fault? The bag itself is genuine but not vintage since it's only from 2000. The lower parts of the bag also look a bit scuffed.

I would be afraid to dunk the purple bag. The dye could streak. Whoever buys this bag should be prepared to use it without trying to rehab it. The original dyes used for these bags were very prone to fading. I've used Fiebings before and it is extremely difficult to get it even. I have no doubt the seller worked a long time trying to even up the color.

For the second bag, I've had one of these drawstrings before. The leather was wonderfully smushy and rehabbed very nicely. I was really blown away at how nice the leather was.

Hyacinth, whateve, and BeenBurned - thank you soooooo much for all of this information! I'm going to tell my friend to read all of these posts herself before making any decisions.

Us buyers would be lost without your expert guidance! Thank you for all that you do!!

SHEESH, what a pile of trash!

Hyacinth and BeenBurned...I live in El Paso and yes...these bags are seen all over the city and fakes are being sold at every weekend flea market week after week, not to mention the ones coming over the border on a daily basis as well.

But, I must add that there are many, many women here who'd never be caught dead with crap bags like that. We know our bags and proudly carry them. Once you know the 'real thing', the fakes are easy to spot.

True - and those fakes of hers are SO obvious! Talk about cheap and tacky - I can't believe anyone was gullible enough to buy any of them, no matter what price!

Flea markets must be the way to go now, since I'm sure crossing the bridge to shop is still a Very Bad Idea. My mom lived in the Las Cruces area for 30 years and she and her retired friends used to carpool to Juarez every few months to buy their meds and enjoy a day of bargain shopping, but of course they stopped doing that about 10 years ago.

Have my eye out for an oxblood borough, but not confident in this ebay listing.

Item: Coach Large Borough Bag in Oxblood Soft Saffiano Leather New
Listing #: 231926600915
Seller: 14mosswood055
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-LARGE...600915?hash=item35ffe714d3:g:QDsAAOSw2GlXIq2p

In the questions/answers at bottom Serial # given is D1498-82912. No strap.

The Oxblood borough looks to be pebbled leather and I believe that version is 28160?

Hope I did this right.

Thank you.

The seller doesn't have enough pictures in the listing to authenticate the bag. (See post #1 for the pics needed.)

Also, in the question at the bottom of the listing, the seller posted the serial number (without showing a picture of the creed).

This shows why a picture of the creed or any tags/labels with serial numbers are necessary because the serial number she stated wouldn't be correct.

Photo has been posted of the creed, can you please take a look?

Again, I'll stress what I said in my previous reply regarding the serial number, creed and why it's so important to SHOW a picture of the creed and why transcribing the serial number isn't enough!

Had we just taken her at her word for the serial number described in the answer to the question (bottom of listing), the bag would have been deemed as fake.

But her picture of the creed shows that she misread the style number and it's actually 32912 and the bag is authentic.
