Thank you and be safe!

The tag that says "INDE" under the "MADE IN INDIA" is my main reason.

Also, I've never seen Coach lining like that :amazed: (being able to be turned inside out and not properly stitched in)

I've been comparing my own Coach that I bought from the store against it and it seemed rather fishy to me. Also, it has a weird, plasticky smell and feels sticky to the touch (like pleather).

Would love to understand more from all the experts here. Thanks!
Nearly every lined Coach item I have (and I have a lot!) has lining that can be pulled out completely like that. I love that because it makes it easy to clean. It is a pain when it is attached inside.

I've been looking to add to my collection, i found some i like on Ebay, I'm not sure about these 2 items items, the purse is PVC according to the seller, when I wrote her she said all her listings were authentic but I didn't know Coach made any PVC bags

http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-signa...630917?hash=item2816f1b445:g:ZTgAAOSwYmZXFYEn

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-colou...929769?hash=item2a66990129:g:mAAAAOSwYmZXIVno

Coach has made a LOT of PVC bags, along with wallets and other accessories. And ANY bag or item that looks like patent leather but that's described as "Liquid Gloss" is also fabric with a vinyl coating, NOT leather.

More opinions are welcome but I don't see any problem with either one

The first bag is PVC, also known as coated canvas. It was called a camera bag. I remember these from the outlets around 2012. I don't think there is any way to fix those white corners.

I agree, both are fine.
WHATEVE, check your PMs. :smile1:
Thanks. Done.

You're correct. Both are fake.

Have my eye out for an oxblood borough, but not confident in this ebay listing.

Item: Coach Large Borough Bag in Oxblood Soft Saffiano Leather New
Listing #: 231926600915
Seller: 14mosswood055
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-LARGE...600915?hash=item35ffe714d3:g:QDsAAOSw2GlXIq2p

In the questions/answers at bottom Serial # given is D1498-82912. No strap.

The Oxblood borough looks to be pebbled leather and I believe that version is 28160?

Hope I did this right.

Thank you.

The seller doesn't have enough pictures in the listing to authenticate the bag. (See post #1 for the pics needed.)

Also, in the question at the bottom of the listing, the seller posted the serial number (without showing a picture of the creed).

This shows why a picture of the creed or any tags/labels with serial numbers are necessary because the serial number she stated wouldn't be correct.

Hello, all! Could I trouble someone to take a look at the two bags below? They are for a friend, I swear! After seeing some of my bags, she's gotten interested in Coach bags - especially those that can be dunked!

Item: VTG COACH Sling Bag PURPLE LEATHER XL Duffle Drawstring US Registration
Listing number: 201565710396
Seller: peachpi
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VTG-COACH-S...ffle-Drawstring-US-Registration-/201565710396
Comments: Interesting color. This bag has been dyed - if it is authentic, I'm guessing it would not be a good candidate for a bath?

Item: CLASSIC! Vtg COACH Black LEATHER Duffle DRAWSTRING Shoulder DESIGNER BAG Purse
Listing number: 162052172154
Seller: rafariki
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CLASSIC-Vtg...ING-Shoulder-DESIGNER-BAG-Purse-/162052172154
Comments: The creed seems blurry - not sure if that is the picture or the creed itself. Happy to request another photo, if that would help.

Thank you in advance for your help! Happy Friday! :D

I noticed that re-dyed purple Sling a few days ago. How well the dye takes depends on the person doing the dyeing and the products they use. I hope WHATEVE will take a look at the listing and description and post her thoughts since she has so much more experience in major rehabs than I do (which is zero). The seller/rehabber does say "moisturize ONLY" so I'm guessing that dunking isn't recommended, and she does give a lot of detail about the re-dye.

The bag, assuming it was originally purple, is probably from 1993 although the purple pictured in the catalogs for that year has more red tones in it. Coach's early purples had a tendency to get blotchy so I can understand the re-dye.

The second seller's feedback is a bit shaky, although the first Negative was undeserved and from a clueless buyer who didn't like the leather texture of a bag she bought - so how is that the SELLER'S fault? But the rest of the Negatives are for allegations of fake bags and item conditions that weren't described accurately. (The seller also doesn't know the difference between a Station Bag and a Willis and couldn't be bothered to look up the style number, but the other problems in her history are more serious assuming the buyers are being honest). The bag itself is genuine but not vintage since it's only from 2000. The lower parts of the bag also look a bit scuffed.

This bag looks so much like an oxblood 28160.
Thank you.

I would be afraid to dunk the purple bag. The dye could streak. Whoever buys this bag should be prepared to use it without trying to rehab it. The original dyes used for these bags were very prone to fading. I've used Fiebings before and it is extremely difficult to get it even. I have no doubt the seller worked a long time trying to even up the color.

For the second bag, I've had one of these drawstrings before. The leather was wonderfully smushy and rehabbed very nicely. I was really blown away at how nice the leather was.
