Hello, I am new to the forum. I own a few Coach bags, all bought from their stores. I never had the opportunity to purchase a Caroline bag. I found these two on Ebay, but I noticed the logo lining. I am almost positive the lining is supposed to be a dark purple solid. Both sellers say they are authentic. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Both are authentic style 32378. (Seller #2 has a typo of the style number in the title.)

When comparing bags, you need to compare apples to apples and signature lining is correct for 32378.

Ah I see. Thank you so much BeenBurned! I didn't realize they made two versions of the Caroline, in this particular silhouette. Now I see the one I want appears to be the 25245, with the solid purple lining

It's very hard to authenticate when you can't read the creed, and that particular style number may have come in more than 1 version. Posts here at tPF (search for "41852" in the search link at the main Coach forum) - show photos of that Legacy Top Handle Pouch style bought at one of the outlets with different details on the front. The bag at the upper left of the photo is 41852:

The poster lists the numbers too:

Below is a copy of that tPF poster's photo with the 41852 Pouch at top left, plus a photo I've had in my files for a long time marked "41852-actual", plus Coach's ORIGINAL 41852 inventory photo (which most resembles the photo in the Poshmark listing). Maybe someone can remember if there were such major changes to this style during it's production run?

The fourth and fifth photos are from the poshmark listing. If it's a fake, it's a good one - but they copied the wrong version of the bag. Interesting too that they copied the exact placement of the stripe colors in the preproduction photo too.

It's happened before where Coach posted a preproduction photo of an upcoming style but made changes before production, and the fakes makers copied the photo and ended up with a fake that didn't match the actual item - there was a Snaphead keychain where the early photos showed 7 snaphead charms but the actual keychain was eventually made with only 5, and all those 7-charm versions are fakes that were based on preproduction photos. Something similar may have happened here. OR maybe they actually did make 2 versions, the early one with the more elaborate leather trim, and then simplified it during the production run or when making it for the outlets. Does anyone know?

Just to add to the above - the ones listed on Ebay have a gold-stamped script creed. Below are the Poshmark bag creed and below that is one of the 2 that were recently listed on Ebay.

It looks like it's probably an authentic legacy stripe top handle pouch, style 41852 though I'd like to see a better (legible) picture of the creed to confirm.

This came yesterday. Just opened the package. From the title, I should have known better. What was I thinking??!! Has a black nylon fabric lining with little diamond shapes. Lining only covers the sides. Embossed Coach is stamped on the middle bottom of the bag. Please confirm this is a fake before I contact the seller.

Many thanks in advance for help authenticating this coach mini willis - my sister got it for me since she knows I like the mini willis, but after receiving it in the mail, I have serious doubts about its authenticity. The very thin and stiff leather and wonky stitching in places reminds me of another coach mini willis I saw that turned out to be fake.

The photos in the listing are not very good, so I've uploaded my own, but had a hard getting a full shot of the creed - please do let me know if I need to try again! TIA again
