The bag is fine. the name seems right based on the style but I don't know the official name. (Those are key words I'd use to describe it.)

Is this a candidate for the HoS?

Item: Coach tote
Listing number: 272204199322 Seller: handbagcaren (101)

Comments: Where to begin...? The creed tag is certainly interesting, if nothing else. And the paper price tag quite unusual too.
I believe that bag is authentic and every time I see these types of changes Coach makes, I get more and more frustrated because it's making authentications very difficult as well as making it easier for counterfeiters to fool buyers.

On a recent visit to NYC, I poked around the Coach department in the Herald Square Macy's. Unlike in other Macy's stores, this department in NYC is actually a leased department and is actually a Coach retail store.

I saw several similar creeds on bags that were reproductions of older bags with creeds with the original style numbers rather than the newer ones. (I didn't take any pictures -- didn't want to draw attention!)

ETA: This is part of the creed that's visible on the Coach page or the bag:

I don't know if you saw this but Coach is doing something else with their creeds - they can be personalized! So now instead of saying "this is a Coach bag..." it might say anything from "Happy Birthday from Charlie" to "You're the best!" or whatever can be imagined.

Thanks for the feedback and the associated link. I'll confess that I never look at the new designs, especially the reissues (since they're so disappointing), and see them only when they start appearing for resale. "There are no rules" resounds loudly. I suspect that it's an accepted "secret" that there are perhaps unmarked exits at every subcontractor facility....

Now that's marketing! Monograms (and adding your own bangles) are no longer enough. Now you get to communicate a personal story too! What's next?

Thanks for the link and the education.

It's clever. Once it is personalized, it can't be returned, and I bet they will be hard to sell on the second hand market.
I'll also bet that Coach might only personalize it at the time of initial purchase. That prevents a reseller from buying, reselling and the new buyer attempting to personalize it herself.

DAMN them! They're too bloody cheap to stamp the serial numbers on the creeds, but they'll do something like this? :pout:

HAHA! I want a COACH BAG that has a "STORY BOARD" that reads

Hyacinth Says "DAMN them! They're too bloody cheap to stamp the serial numbers on the creeds, but they'll do something like this?" :pout:
With a moving EMOTO too
HOW freakin LAME can COACH get? Pasting Snoopy patches on rehabbed bags that US Women were oh-so so HAPPY to rehab for COACH for 70 bucks-and then COACH resells them for the lowlow price of 900 bucks....
I got duped into that scheme too-none too happy -but that's another STORY BOARD for another time:smash:
