Hi there! I'm in Florida on vacation and I found this cute bag with tattersall lining. Could you please authenticate?

Thank you so much!

I bought this little cutie off the bay and I'm pretty sure it's legit but since I am so new to this I would love input from the PF experts on this.

I apologize for the fact that it just shows links and not pictures unless you mouse over them. I can't figure out how to properly post a picture from Flickr :-s.

If someone could point me in the direction of advice how to clean a combination leather/canvas bag, that would be awesome! I've been skimming the rehab threads, but at 500+ posts each it's hard to find the right post.

ETA the tag is attached to the bag, it was on the other side of the bag when I took the pictures.

It's authentic.

In the future, it's not necessary to post pictures or links to pictures when there's a listing to look at.

See post #1 of the thread for the posting format and pictures we need to see (although again, as long as the pictures are in the listing, others aren't necessary).

Thanks!
I read the first post but I wasn't sure if the listing would still work, since it ended and I received the bag today. I will definitely do that next time!

I've rehabbed a similar bag. You can wash the fabric parts with anything that is safe for fabric. The leather is probably vachetta, which will darken unevenly if it gets wet. I usually clean that with vinegar and a magic sponge, then condition with Cadillac conditioner. I think there are some recent posts about that technique in the rehab thread.

They both seem to be Duffle Drawstring Spectator Bags style 6022 from around 1990-91, and the measurements seem to match Coach's pretty closely - 9" at the base x 12 1/2 inches high by 9" across

Thank you both for your time and help! I appreciate it! Happy Friday :smile1:

Sorry one more! I like this one too:

Title: COACH Borough Oxblood Pebbled Leather Carryall Shoulder Bag 32912 Handbag Medium

Thank you!
The reason you haven't gotten a response is because the bag is impossible to authenticate with the pictures shown.

See post #1 for the pictures that are needed. If the listing doesn't have the necessary clear pictures, you'll need to request them from the seller.

It amazes me that ebay allows sellers to post 12 pictures without any charge! (They used to charge 15 cents each after the first free one.) Why sellers don't take advantage is beyond me.

Then attach any photos (all authentication must include photos.)
  • Please be sure to include a clear readable photo of the creed stamp and serial number from inside the bag or accessory if there is one, and the bag's measurements when the bag is an older or vintage leather Coach.
  • Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.

Good morning! Could you please authenticate these 3 thrifted satchels? I may have temporarily lost consciousness in Savers when I saw two. Thank you!
