This is the second bag. Is the correct name Daisy Metallic Leather Champagne Tote? Thanks again, experts!

These are the final two I'm hoping are authentic. I would greatly appreciate names, but I mainly got them because they have detachable wristlet straps. The white patent measures approximately 10.5" long and 5.5" high. The tan kisslock measures approximately 7.75" long and 4.25" high. It has white on it because I already started experimenting on it,

And one more! This is for a friend (really!)

Item: Vintage Coach British TanLeather Helen's Legacy #9953 Bucket Bag
Listing number: 281994762718
Seller: meenjee
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/281994762718
Comments: I read some earlier discussion on this seller, so not sure what to think. If the bag is genuine, are the measurements correct?

Thanks for all of your help!

It's fake.
I can't recall whether that bag was previously reported and removed but I reported several of meenjee's listings in February, 2016 and 2 others in November, 2015.

She also sold this fake with SCRTCHES:

And while we're discussing her listings, what's the consensus on this one:

And was Q a valid US code?

All are authentic.

The third one is a Soho leather framed wristlet, style 40573.

The last 2 are both fake. The earliest Q code I've found is from China some time around 2003. The strap grommets in the 9953 are silver.

And that font in the fake 9019 has never been used in any genuine Coach, and the ends of the binding around the base are joined in the wrong place. The "5" plant code was never used for any US plant and wasn't even intro'd until 2001 according to my records, and ONLY for a Chinese plant.

That seller should be on permanent selling restriction for any Coach products!

I went thrifting today and found four pieces that I hope are authentic. This is the first. If it's authentic, what is it called? It has snaps on both ends of the zippers, pockets on both sides, and one zipper pocket inside. It measures approximately 8" high, 10.75" long, and 3.5" wide. Thank you for taking a look, experts! :flowers:

It looks like a Carson Zip, style 9939 from 1993

I agree that with this seller's history of fakes, she shouldn't be selling them.

Thanks for looking. (I do report completed and sold listings too1 :graucho:)

Good morning, I wanted more opinions before posting this Station bag to the HoS. There's no clear picture of the creed, but the seller states the number is 618-25-0003. Also, the pull on the zipper doesn't look right, but the thing that caught my attention in the first place was the turnlock. Is it fake? Thank you!

Fake. The turnlock is completely wrong and a style never used by Coach, the shape of the leather part of the turnlock mounting is wrong, the rings holding the top handle are too big, the inside pocket zipper pull is completely wrong, and although the actual numbers in the serial number aren't readable, the number quoted by the seller is a complete fake and the dashes between sections of the serial number are in the wrong place and there's one too many, and the "No" prefix that is always in front of the actual number is missing.

Hi. I am submitting my own listing. Another ebay member thinks it may not be a real coach and sent me a link to this forum. Can someone confirm for me?

Welcome to TPF. The rules state that sellers aren't allowed to post their own listings because it can be perceived as advertising.

Additionally, since the sale of counterfeit items is against the law, ebay policy (and the law) require that sellers know items are authentic prior to listing them.

And in fact, this bag is fake so for future listings, it's recommended that you verify authenticity before listing anything!

The serial number is a known invalid number and commonly seen on fakes.

My recommendation to sellers who aren't expert in a brand and haven't personally purchased their items from authorized partner retailers (department stores, Coach itself, etc.) is to have their items authenticated.

ETA: For future requests, see post #1 for the required posting format.

It's genuine. The style was called a Signature Stripe Lozenge Top Handle Pouch, style 41423.

Lozenge top handle pouch style 41423.

ETA: Sorry. I was playing catchup and responded before reading all the responses. Hyacinth beat me to the punch and included the correct style name.

Thanks a mil to both of you, always so helpful and informative. :smile1:

It appears that meenjee might not be selling more Coaches.

All the fakes were removed and she has no listings ATM.

Thanks for such a quick answer. I am very new to the business, and was not aware of this resource before I listed the bag. However, now that I know, I have removed the listing, and I will always use this before listing anything else.

We'll be happy to look at any Coach items, but they can't be active Ebay links or any other selling site. Links to photo hosting sites like Photobucket or Imgur are ok.

There's a very good list in 2 parts of frequently-used fake and often-fake serial numbers posted in Ebay's Guides section, it's always a good idea to check it before buying or listing any Coach bag:

http://search.reviews.ebay.com/members/daria48

And seller Salearea has posted a set of Guides that I researched that can help with serial numbers and the too-common false myths floating around the internet about Coach products:
