Item: Coach Striped Large Shoulder Bag

Interested in buying, please authenticate if this is a real coach bag. Thanks!

What I can see in the photos looks ok although the creed photo is a bit small, it looks like style number 10396. The bag itself is very large according to the dimensions, I hope that's the size you were looking for.

LondonUK, you needn't be ashamed. It's junkrwe who should be ashamed for selling fakes without authenticating her items prior to listing them.

For the record, I reported 2 different fakes from junkrwe on January 20.

These are the creeds from her January fakes. It's hard to read the first but it's a J8Y:

So, I just received this from junkrwe, I think at this point I'll let ebay get involved.

Not all creeds that start with a J are fake. It is a month code so 1/12 of all bags should have a J as the first digit if production is even throughout the year. This one is fake because the creed doesn't match other creeds with the same prefix. We've seen this many times on other fakes.

ETA: the date code is also too early for nickel hardware.

Yes, I'd just escalate.

ETA: ebay removed the listing, right? What other proof does she need that it is fake?

No, the bag opening is narrow and it's difficult to get a straight on picture.

The picture you posted is fine and is enough to confirm that the bag is absolutely fake.

And as I pointed out (and feel free to tell the seller), this bag was reported and removed by ebay on March 2, 2015. My reports aren't always as specific as this one was and it proves that sbrady56 KNOWS the bag is fake since it was removed as such and she has no business listing it again.

Let her know that 99.999% of fakes have serial numbers too. Existence of a serial number proves absolutely nothing!

Here's a post asking about her listing where the exact same serial number is mentioned:

And my authentication: http://forum.purseblog.com/showpost.php?p=28162668&postcount=2364

And another comment on the creed vs. Willis mismatch: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-sh...e-before-posting-889527-158.html#post28163022

Sorry, it's a busy night in my inbox , just as a follow up this listing on my purchased items all of a sudden had this pop up next to it for this counterfeit bag by sbrady56. I'm glad you guys authenticated it before it shipped!

We had to remove this listing from the site and you're not required to complete the transaction. If you've already sent payment, the sale should process as normal and you don't have anything to worry about. If you have any questions about delivery, please check tracking or contact your seller. Well the only option I had was the return, I've done the not a described before but that option didn't come up for this so I selected I don't think the item is authentic. I sent her a reply saying I would let eBay decide and that she's listed fake coach handbags before. I hope she winds up paying the postage and ebay lets me destroy the handbag. I also said the next time you sell somethig. Please remove your personal items as mine came with a nice surprise gift. A tampon which was located in the zippered pocket :roflmfao:. Bet the ebay agent will have a laugh at that. Why do these people selling these bags not clean them and make people WANT to use them. It's just disgusting, the bag was disgusting

so you got a free gift! :roflmfao: I got one of those in a bag that was described as new without tags.

Yes, I got a free gift and also a wig as there was loads of hair in it also. :nogood: I. Sorry for so many posts tonight as I know you ladies are busy. I'll let you know the outcome either way. I got a pen and some change in another bag I bought that was also supposed to be BNWOT clearly it wasn't. Oh, by the way the not as described has disappeared off ebay now. I opened up another case for the camel bag and now the only option is return item with the drop downs, I used the I don't think its authentic.

That's the correct option to choose. That option usually makes it so the seller has to pay for return shipping.

But since you're in the UK, I'm not sure how the return shipping works as far as who pays for the label.

Since these are international purchases, it's a PITA and can be expensive for returning in the event ebay makes you pay shipping. PLEASE, PLEASE have items authenticated before buying them!

ETA: I take issue with ebay and/or Paypal telling buyers to destroy items because there have been too many cases where items that were alleged to be fake were actually authentic and buyers either submitted false (un)authentications or the authenticators made mistakes.

But in these cases of the fake Willises, if the sellers are smart, they'll allow you to destroy the bags yourself and issue refunds. Since they can't relist or sell the bags anywhere anyway, for either you or the seller to pay return shipping is a waste of time and money.

I am actually in the USA now. I moved over in March 2015 and had that user ID when I originally set my account up :graucho: after all this I won't buy ANYTHING without checking with you lot first. Thanks again, we really do appreciate you guys helping us.

Hello ladies, that's actually the case when the seller says the bag is fake, but I'm about 98% sure it's not. Bought the bag locally at a moving sale a couple months ago, and the nice woman who was selling it told me the bag is not authentic. When I asked her how did she know, she said she bought it back in the 90-s from someone she didn't know well, then took it to the Coach store and the sales rep said she didn't recognize the numbers on the patch and the purse is most likely fake. If thanked the honest seller for telling me story but took my chances. Thank you for your opinion in advance! Here're the pictures:

It's fine. That happened to me once on ebay. The listing said "don't expect an authentic bag for $10!" I bought it before ebay removed it. It was a Madison!
