Did Coach ever make a sky blue bag? I just found this on Etsy and have asked for the creed to be emailed. I've never seen one in sky blue. Not sure it's my colour either.

Item: Coach Willis
Seller: vintageair

I believe there was a similar color around 2003-2006. I don't recall seeing it in a Willis but I have seen it in another classic style.

There was also Federal Blue which was darker.

No, they NEVER made a Sky Blue or Robins-Egg Blue color. The only light-ish blue was from the 2005-07 bags made in China and that was NOT light blue, it was what I would call Wedgewood or Federal Blue. I think Coach may have called it Denim. And what the seller says about "the strap has cracks on the plastic coating on the sides " should NEVER happen on a genuine Coach, there wasn't any "plastic coating" on the strap. In fact I can see REALLY heavy dark blue edge paint on the edges of the long strap in the first photo - THAT STRAP WAS NOT MADE BY COACH!

NO WONDER SELLER " vintageair " NEVER SHOWS THE CREEDS AND SERIAL NUMBERS. DO NOT BUY FROM THAT SELLER !!!

LondonUK, we'd very much like to see that creed photo if s/he sends it. If there was a lighter blue, I've never seen it and I've been looking at Willises for over 10 years.

Comments: Saw the same style backpack at my Goodwill store, but someone got to it before I could, been heartbroken and pining over it ever since! Thanks in advance!

I don't remember a lighter blue on a Willis, just the medium blue.

Did you go back and look at the edgepaint on the long strap? The padding on the leather turnlock tab doesn't look right either.

It's on the edges of the leather parts of the turnlock mounting too.

ETA - have to correct myself, there IS some kind of slightly darker edging on the strap and leather turnlock bits of my 2004 Willis. But it's still really close to the overall color of the bag. Still need to do some comparing - BBS.

I'll upload the creed when and if she sends it to me. Ive done a thorough Google search for this color Willis bag and it seems she is the only one who has this so called rare bag. Does Etsy also remove counterfeit items if reported? I wonder how many other might be as none of her photos show the creeds.

Etsy has never removed a fake I'd reported to them, and I gave up trying. They also don't give a fat rat's bottom if mass-manufactured items are less than 20 years old even though that's what their Rules require.

There's no way I'd even buy any handbag from them without a full set of photos and a sense that the seller could be trusted, because they have a few MAJOR scam artists and mixers selling "Coaches" there.

Okay, thee is something REALLY wrong with the bags she's selling. There are purses that I don't ever recall being made in certain colors (you ladies would clearly know more then I would). I looked at her feedback and there are comments of the bags smelling strong etc. and she also has loads of vintage bags that buyers are stating that are like new. The listings seem to list the same types of vintage bags over and over again. I don't know where she's getting them and if they are being dyed but something is really wrong here. I feel bag for the people paying loads of money and not getting what they think they are getting.

I didn't notice but I wasn't authenticating, just commenting on the color. I remember seeing a blue Janice that looked similar that we authenticated. I have a creed of a fake blue Janice in my files too.

You could report it for not being vintage. It has nickel hardware which wasn't used 20 years ago.

Okay we now have a purple Coach Station bag....I've NEVER seen a purple Station bag. Can we not report her to Coach? If they never made any of these bags in these colors and they tun out to be counterfeits etc can Coach get her removed off Etsy?

https://www.etsy.com/listing/239496673/vintage-coach-bright-purple-station?
Someone asked for an authentication of a purple station bag, quite awhile ago. I can't remember if we were able to authenticate it, but I don't think we said it was definitely fake.

ETA: Here it is - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Willis-Crossbody-Authentic-Vintage-USA-/111723615116?rmvSB=true
And here is the discussion: http://forum.purseblog.com/showpost.php?p=28920359&postcount=8082

We decided it had been dyed.

I think I'm going to stay away from Etsy. That place scares me when it comes to Coach and way over priced. Also, one last question and I'll leave you ladies be. With the Willis I have been trying to get the older quality bags either new or like new. I have been able to get them from 1994, 95, and 96. I think one of you mentioned to try to get them from 2000 and before and it didn't matter if it was Usa made or not. Did they start going down in quality and the leather not so thick 2001 and on? So if they are from other countries but 2000 and prior are they still the high quality of leather? Thanks, this will help with what I continue to buy.
