Thank you and be safe!

I have no recent bags with a snap so I can't check that. I have 2013 factory bags that have the translucent Made in China tag, which includes it in two languages (Chine on the second line). The only 2012 bag I have that doesn't have the place of manufacture on the creed is my new Willis. Its creed starts H1269 and it has the translucent tag with the two languages.

I added more info after you posted, please look over the pics and my comments and tell me what you think.

I know we've seen fakes from this seller in the past but I had (almost) forgotten about her! That is until I saw one of her listings and decided to look further.

Thought I'd confirm:

Title: COACH LIGHT PINK LEATHER TRAIL SHOULDER BAG 9965

And this one too, please:

And one more, please. Is X a US plant?
COACH BLACK LEATHER VINTAGE XL TOTE BAG 9400

Yes, you're right. They are all fake. The font on the last two matches a lot of fakes we've seen.
1. Pink? Ew! Even if it were authentic, it would not be a trail bag! The P plant code was only used for Costa Rica.

2. I spy silver grommets with brass hardware. As you know, N isn't a valid month code and in 2002 the J plant code would have been used for China.

3. That creed looks awful. The X plant code was used for the Dominican Republic.
I wanted confirmation. This seller has a long history and it hasn't been pretty!:graucho:

ETA: Here are a few of the posts on the seller:

http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-492978-49.html#post12157625

And she's not only a seller who knowingly mixes fakes but she's also a bbl-worthy buyer:

If you look at the dates of these posts (and there are more that I haven't shown), you'll see that her history goes a long way back.

I'm not comfortable with the bag for the same reasons Hyacinth has expressed.

ARe you the buyer or the seller of the bag? If buyer, please post a link or tell us where you purchased.

May I ask where you're located? (I'm hoping you aren't in the Philippines.)

Compare the creed to this listing for the same bag, exactly the same colors and the same production codes:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWOT-COACH-...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

ETA - every other listing I've found with that color combo has the non-patent creed with the much shorter and more precise creed stitching - 17 stitches on the right & left edges vs only 12 stitches on the possible fake. Photo #2 is another GENUINE listing that shows both the creed and the COMAG snap.

Item: Coach Patchwork Pink Green Tan Purse
Listing number: 171659146299
Seller: mrs_gia

Comments: I have never reported before so how does one report a listing?
Yes, it's fake. On the listing, just above the description, on the right, there is a link called "report item." You get a page where you have to select several options and write a small description, then submit.

After looking at that, I believe it is fake.

I'm convinced that the bag is fake and I'm curious whether the poster is in the Philippines.

I remember seeing a scary close Coach item a while back and although I didn't know where the poster was located, I suggested that it looked like Filippino fakes.

If it came from an online source, I'm interested in seeing the listing.

Here's another where I suspected the fakes were coming out of the Philippines and sure enough, that was the case:

Scroll down to right above where the Description box starts and click on REPORT ITEM at the far right.

From the dropdown boxes select in order:

copyright and trademark

counterfeit item or authenticity disclaimer

counterfeit, fake or replica items

hit Continue

In the Brief Description box (for this fake ONLY)
enter:
invalid serial number and plant codes, always-fake lining, says bag made of COWHIDE

then click the Send Report button

Thank you so much.

I agree, Fake. The stitching all over the probable fake looks rough and the stitches look too long. Every area visible in the pics compares badly with the others in the same colors from the same plant, month and year.

Wait for more opinions, but I'm wondering about 2 details. The Made In China tag on the inside seems more opaque than the other ones I've seen in recent bags.

And the magnetic snap is a brand I've never seen before and not the same brand that Coach always uses and used in the other examples of the same style bag that are listed on Ebay. For the last 8 or 10 years Coach has used snaps made by ROMAG or COMAG (same company) that have a valid US Patent number on them. This one has one that says LONGBOOM with no other markings. Has anyone seen this brand on recent bags that have been bought directly from Coach?

Top pic, same style number with a COMAG snap, Pics 2&3 are the bag being asked about with the LONGBOOM snap and an A1376 plant and date code. Pic 4 is from another bag with the same exact plant and date code but with a COMAG snap.

There's also a BIG difference in the number of stitches on the sides of the creed between two bags in the same style from the same plant, month and year. THAT worries me. Would a patent leather patch have 4 or 5 fewer stitches than a smooth leather patch with the same serial number and codes?

ETA - Here's another one in the same color combo but with SMOOTH leather trim and patch, NOT patent, and the same A1376 plant codes. It also has more stitches in the patch.

I don't know if it matters, but I noticed something else...the grain in the lining is running vertically in the bag you are trying to authenticate, while in all the comp bags it is horizontal.
Also, there is something off about the wrapped handles...on the authentic bag there is an even flow, like a U-shape, from the over-wrapped section into the remainder of the handle - on the bag in question the patent or vinyl is stiffer/thicker and so it is kind of squared off. Hard to explain but if you compare the photos of the handles you will see what I mean.

I did notice that the handle wrappings looked "off" but missed the lining. Good catch!
