Thanks! Is the Compartment bag vintage? I'm given to understand that the all-number scheme with four-dash-three numbers predates some others. And I guess the Watson was made in 1995? It's hard to get the hang of Coach creeds. For the untrained eye, it's like deciphering hieroglyphics.
All look fine. The first is a compartment bag 9850. The Patricia was made in 1996; you are correct.

The Salearea Guides on Creeds and on Serial Numbers explain Coach's system:

As if 2015, any genuine bag with an all-number serial number is more than 20 years old and considered vintage.

The Watson is from 1995.

You're welcome. Yes, the compartment bag is vintage. Any bag that has an all-numeric creed number is vintage. The xxxx-xxx format was used in the early 90s. You'll only see it on bags with United States creeds. NYC creeds were earlier and had the xxx-xxxx format. The Watson is vintage too since it is 20 years old.

Well, aren't I the lucky thrifter. Hyacinth and Whateve, you are national treasures. When they start a "Coach University" we will nominate you for rector and dean.

1- after examining a lot more evidence since the original Fakes List was written, that serial number is now considered "always fake". We've also never found what can be confirmed as a genuine Coach with a 4154 style number. There's also a problem with the inside pocket.

2- genuine Saddle Pouch Standard style 9590 probably from the early or middle 1980s

3- genuine Sonoma Satchel, Natural Grain. BOTH zippers have the correct zipper pulls

4- genuine Sonoma Flat Pack Natural Grain

5- genuine Madison Chapin Bag. It's hard to tell the color, it could be Granite or Beechnut or something else. Some Madison color samples are posted here:

My apologies first of all, I was not sure where to post this question.

Is there any Coach guide for clothing? Any details of what to watch out for?
I imagine that same as bags and accessories, there will be fake coats, etc...

Any input will be really appreciated. Thanks and HAPPY THANKSGIVING! :smile1:

Nothing that I've ever seen. We'd have to look at things like labels and tags to see if they match what few things we have photos of. It's hard to even find many clothing pages on the Wayback Machine. A few other members have Coach clothing items so they might be able to help.

Thank you for your prompt reply, right on time before I run out the door. I will post pictures next week when I am back.
