And here's my 2 last request. *Hopefully* my thirst for Coach ends after either one of this MUSETTE

Name: British Tan Musette
Item no: 181898509121
Seller: boatcollector-USA
Link: http://m.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Coach...r-Briefcase-/181898509121?nav=WATCHING_ACTIVE

Name: Mocha Musette carrier bag.
Item no: 221773721919
Seller: monalisa_creations
Link: http://m.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Mocha-M...her-VTG-USA-/221773721919?nav=WATCHING_ACTIVE

* Note: Both seller named this bag "Musette carrier"so I'm confused. Pls help [emoji17]

BOTH of those are Carriers, not Musettes.

Sellers often use both names so they can suck in someone looking for a Musette and doesn't know how to tell the difference.

And I thought I already said at least once - DON'T EVER DEPEND ON A SELLER TO KNOW OR USE THE CORRECT NAME, AGE OR STYLE NUMBER OF A COACH BAG".

Whateve answered a similar question from you 3 weeks ago:
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-sh...e-before-posting-889527-654.html#post29243409

and so did I

and another member:

You may want to try using the forum Search feature - searching the main Coach forum for "carrier musette" would have brought up your posts and others on the same subject.

Lets see if she posts the pictures that have been requested.

She did post a picture of one tag and it seems okay.

But something is raising my spidey sense with that seller because she's too anxious to sell, asking me how many I want. I too wonder whether they're stolen.

I guess if you want to take a chance with her, do so but use a credit card to fund the payment. When you receive it, post clear pictures of all parts.

Oh no! I have no intention to spend that kind of money, no matter how real they are. I am just curious about the whole thing, and I was ready to report it if necessary.

I do not know the MSRP for these bags, but considering that PM takes 20% she only would be making around $300.00. Depending on the original price, she could have gotten a very good deal or these bags are hot, nobody sells to lose money.

I edited this post not to start another one, because it's related.

Looking for the price, I found this other listing in PM that is selling cheaper bags she gets thanks to her VIP discounts, and ships directly from the store. But her name is actually the name of an app, whose address she posts in the listing with several pictured bags. The app is as far as I can tell from China..... um?

It looks good.

Genuine. I don't know the exact name but based on a similar style I had it's probably something like "Signature Mini Crossbody"

Thank you both! Shoot, it's actually called a cross body by Coach?! From the first time I've seen this style of bag I've always thought it was a fanny pack and I was intending on wearing it as so! From the measurements it seemed just long enough to be one so I hope it fits!! :D

Did she post more pictures? May be the bags are authentic, but they are stolen merchandise....

I agree about the possibility of them being shoplifted. There was a blog I read a while ago of people showing off their stolen goods and many were of high end bags. Poshmark seems like a perfect place to sell them...

Also I think for fakes we could comment on the item. Since poshmark comments cannot be deleted by the seller, it could be a good way to warn buyers!

In addition to the info Hyacinth posted above, here's a post from the Vintage Coach Photos & Chat thread that might help:

From Left to Right, the Musette Family

Musette in British Tan, Original (Suspender) Musette in White, Carrier in Mahogany, Swag in Mocha. This will give you an idea of the sizes.

You DID do well. All are fine!

There have also been a large number of "Smash & Grab" and "Dash & Grab" thefts by organized gangs both here in the Chicago area and all over the country. Either a stolen car or truck is used to smash through the front doors or windows of highline stores or boutiques, or a gang just rushes the place on foot or smashes the windows after closing time, grabs everything within reach and escapes in different directions before the cops can get to the scene. A LOT of those items probably end up on Ebay, as well as Poshmark and other sites where the management doesn't care where the merchandise comes from because they're "just a venue".

Wow! Not that I would have the money for it but knowing this makes me even less likely to buy new or NWT bags from eBay and the like, unless they're blemished then I know it's most likely acquired as a store return. It's so sad that so much money probably goes into losses like this and loss prevention, that would further drive up the consumer price or result in lower quality bags :(

Probably just another crook or gang of them.

Be VERY careful when clicking on links from possible fakes sites, especially if they're in China, Russia or the former Soviet Union. There are tens of thousands (and that's s very conservative estimate) of both independent and professional gangs of hackers who have all kinds of nasty things they can do to your computer OR your mobile apps.

Very true.

I haven't checked honolulu, but just Google "smash and grab chicago" or "crash and grab chicago" to see just a few places where a lot of those expensive bags, jeans and other high-priced goodies could have come from.

Just for starters:
http://chicago.cbslocal.com/tag/smash-and-grab/

The Chicago scumbags seem to have a special fondness for Louis Vuitton. They'll actually drive right THROUGH the doors and along the walkways of a major ENCLOSED shopping mall to stock up on LVs. :D
http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2014/11/18/burglars-drive-car-into-northbrook-louis-vuitton-store/

(Northbrook Court is HUGE, BTW - I think it's still the biggest mall in the entire Chicago area. Good thing LV is on the ground floor!)
