Please follow the following requests:

I've seen that "top grain cowhide" stamp before in Bonnie Cashin era Coach. It could be authentic. The shininess looks unnatural. It might be shoe-polished. I'd like to know if the buckles are stamped.

On it. Just asked the seller to provide a close-up of the buckles. See if they ever get back to me.

Aside from the unnatural shininess, the condition of the leather of the flap doesn't look right, the leather could be in much worse condition than the seller claims.

I had a bad experience with this seller years ago. Once was enough.

No I wouldn't report a bag without checking here first. I've never seen a creed that wasn't the standard leather type. (Except the gold ones.) When did they use the script? I'm mainly into older leather purses, is that why I haven't seen them? Thanks and sorry.

1. We've discussed this seller before. For the quantity of Coach items she has, she should know that a creed picture is necessary. This style is faked often. We can't authenticate without a creed picture.

They used it for most of the 65th Anniversary Legacy bags in 2006 and continued to use it in various styles since then.

That creed style has also been closely faked, so any bag or accessory with a script creed should always be authenticated before buying or bidding.

ANY AND ALL gold-stamped creeds in older style bags especially when the lettering is block style rather than written script are always fakes, usually made in Korea, and should always be posted here so they can be reported. In newer styles, almost ALL Signature Stripe Totes styles 10124 and 10125 are fake. Here are a few examples of fake gold-stamped creeds in classic and vintage fakes, Sig Stripe Totes, and a creed with an invalid serial number:

Thank you for the tip! So glad I asked before bidding. And, after comparing it to my other Stewardess bag, the leather does look very different and very granular.

It's authentic. "I" was avoided but mistakes were made sometimes. This is one of the times. I've seen others with the same date code from the same factory. Very cute bag!

ETA: You don't need to provide measurements for bags that have a style number in the creed.
