Seller chibacb

I don't recommend Poshmark (period!) but especially for a style as highly and well-faked as Swaggers.

In fact, I started a thread a while ago when I saw how scary-close the fakes were:
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach/warning-swaggers-912206.html

Since Poshmark is unresponsive to reports of fakes, I don't recommend that site at all. I can state that not a single fake I've reported to them (through their "report listing") flag function has ever been removed. And I've reported many!!

Oh no! So is this bag a rep?? We corresponded through email and her price point is $297. She says genuine leather but Idk how to authenticate it myself.. /:

I've seen it before but I don't have any definite information about it. It appears to be an early version of the compact pouch. It might have the same style number and name, or might have been called something different. It appears authentic. It looks like there are anchors on the clips.

Thanks for the info! I thought that it might be an earlier or later version of the compact pouch, but at the same breath, it is also smaller than the compact pouch I had.

I depend on the knowledgeable ladies here for my purchases, but when buying new Coach items I keep on mind these two facts.

1) Is it the only bag the seller has listed?
2) Are there many and all the time?

1) Seller might have changed their mind, got it as present and needs the money, etc... I would consider buying it.

2) Nobody sells to lose money, if they can get the bags on sale (first I do some research to see how much these bags went for), they could come at to the retail price or very little difference, so seller makes a lot of money and you do not really save. If these bags on sale were still more or less what seller asks for, then I doubt they are authentic, for that same reason... nobody sells to lose money and on PoshMark fees are 20%. Be careful ! :smile1:

Thank you so very much Beenburned, Hyacinth and Whateve for helping me out, you ladies are incredibly nice and helpful.
So, a PDA case.. wow! Make sense now :smile1:, photo holder instead of ID holder, and swing wallets from the 90S, so could they be vintage?

This is picture of the back, and another picture of the red pouch, because the bottom also has Coach engraved, may be helps to identify it.

The Swing Wallets look like style 4843 from 1993 or 1994, so they're considered vintage. The ones we've seen usually have a different inside zipper pull than the one in Coach's catalog picture.

I can't help with the pouch, sorry.

Thank you! I think I'll pass on this. It looks like she has a couple by the pictures and they're sold out on macys on coach there full price /: argh! Thank you guys :)

That's great to know! Goodwill is excellent about that for their online auctions, so I would hope they are equally good about it in their physical locations. ..but you never know! This was a very recent purchase, but it's looking like I made the right choice!

They are inconsistent about authenticity, depending on location. I've seen obvious fakes at Goodwill stores and the employees won't do anything about it if you mention it to them. I think most locations are more careful when posting items on for online auctions but I still wouldn't bid without authenticating first.
TheM8rix, I disagree about Goodwill online stores being good about verifying authenticity.

In fact, during this past week, I reported 2 listings from goodwillofsiliconvalley. One was a fake Coach bracelet and the other a fake Dooney keychain. Although I was told that they were sent to the "account manager" who would speak to the seller, the bracelet was sold to a scammed buyer and the keychain was relisted after the first listing ended.

There are similar anecdotes for other Goodwill locations. It looks like charity organizations get free passes to rip off buyers.

Hi, I must have too many bags, lol. I have this navy Stewardess bag, and I would really appreciate it if you can tell me the approximate year that it was made.

I know the Stewardess bag was introduced in 1977, and since this bag doesn't have a registration number, I am wondering if it is from the introductory year. Besides, I've never seen a navy Stewardess bag on eBay or etsy..

You're probably right. I don't see any reason they wouldn't have been made in navy, as it was one of the original colors. The navy is so dark that I bet some of them are sold as black.

Thank you, and you're so right about the color! I actually got this one on eBay and the seller sold it as black! And I didn't realize it is navy until I washed it and blue dye was running down the sink! Someone must have covered the bag with black shoe polish before I got my hands on it.

I wasn't referring to authentic items being well monitored, I meant they were good about refunds. I purchased a Thomas Wylde that was fake for several hundred and they not only returned my bid and s&h but paid the shipping back to them. They weren't fussy about me "proving" it was a fake either.

Comments: I know this is definitely not a Stewardess bag.. But I just want to authenticate it to make sure that I don't make hasty conclusions. Thank you!
Before doing business with Station 85 (station_85), you might want to google the ID to see many of the discussions about the seller because she's notorious for not describing the condition of her items honestly and has also sold fakes.

Her toolhaus/feedback is scary!

As for the bag you're asking about, the bag isn't Coach. The marking in this picture isn't something Coach has ever done.

There's no way I'd trust it, especially with such small and poor quality photos - there's no way to check other possible problem areas like the turnlock or the inside pocket. The only Tafts I've seen from the early 2000 decade seem to all have been made in Costa Rica.

And I don't have any dependable record of the "i" plant code being used for any plant after 1998, except for one very questionable bag with an "i" plant code and a China creed that included several mistakes. Later bags made in Turkey used the "2" plant code.
Okay, thanks.
Some sellers don't know bother to use the enlarge feature with photos and it is so annoying!

I've seen that "top grain cowhide" stamp before in Bonnie Cashin era Coach. It could be authentic. The shininess looks unnatural. It might be shoe-polished. I'd like to know if the buckles are stamped.
