Hi, thanks for the feedback on the bag!

I did read post #1 on the first page of the thread before posting. I must have misunderstood it? Initially I searched to see if anyone else had posted about a similar bag, but that wasn't fruitful, which is why I posted some pics I took of the bag. I think I included the images the first post suggested. Can you help me with what I missed so I don't repeat it in the future?

Thanks again! And have a great weekend!

Not sure what I didn't comply with. I searched for the bag in this and the coach forum and I got a couple of links but not to any posts that had pictures or descriptions of that particular bag.

So that's why I posted. I included the name, the photos, they all seem well-focused....the only thing I didn't include was measurements. I'm really not sure how my post is any different from the others I see here, or how they failed to meet the "Authenticate" requirements.

Can you be more specific? I don't see what I did wrong or left out. I really appreciate your help in clarifying this for me!

You need to follow the format, enter the information that follows the highlighted blue areas, nothing to do with what others have posted, like...

Please authenticate, I am interested in this

Item: Coach Carly
Listing number: 12345678
Seller: gooddealsebay
Link: http:/ebayxxxx etc..
Comments: Not sure, was used, etc...

If you already bought it, then follow the second format and enter as much info as possible.

I hope this helps and I am not confusing you more, LOL

This seems to be a newer bag so measurements are not required. You have the item name and a picture of the creed. There's nothing else I can see that you're missing. So...I also can't figure out what you did wrong! I would like to be tagged if someone can kindly point it out. We sure do appreciate all the time and dedication our authenticators put in and I want to know so I don't make the mistake in the future and waste their time!

No, not confusing me more! Lol. I think I included everything that is required sans measurements. So I guess they are referring to typing it out as you suggested...

Item: Coach (Madison Sophia satchel)
Purchased: used no tags
Measurements: n/a
Description: creamy white or lt. Beige in color, blue (satin?) lining, brass hardware, all stitching colors match fabrics, ykk on zippers, Internet search for creed patch numbers match up to bag style, etc...

Seems excessive and redundant since the photos speak to the majority of the above information. I'm sure there is a good reason why they want things posted this way, although it seems the majority of people asking for authentication, don't.

Yeah, I'm a bit miffed myself. I would hate to waste anyone's time either!

Please authenticate this Taft bag, thank you!

This has "I" plant and shows it's made in the United States.

There's no way I'd trust it, especially with such small and poor quality photos - there's no way to check other possible problem areas like the turnlock or the inside pocket. The only Tafts I've seen from the early 2000 decade seem to all have been made in Costa Rica.

And I don't have any dependable record of the "i" plant code being used for any plant after 1998, except for one very questionable bag with an "i" plant code and a China creed that included several mistakes. Later bags made in Turkey used the "2" plant code.

Yes, now you put too much, LOL

No need for description, just follow what they have as "format". In comments is where you could add something extra, like you are not sure about the creed or the strap or something... I assure you this ladies know their stuff and entering the seller is because they keep track of those that sell fakes ;)

Wondering if I could get some help authenticating this Coach Madison Sophia? This was a used bag.

Thank you for any feedback in advance!

You said it was a used bag, but you still bought it from somewhere. All we're asking is that you post where you bought it. If it was an online site like Ebay, Craigslist, etc, post the URL of the listing and the seller. We still need that information even if the auction or sale has been completed and the bag is in your possession.

If the sale or purchase occured too long ago for the listing to still be clickable or searchable, then just say so. But ALL questions about internet purchases require that information, not just inquiries about current listings.

Gotcha! And isn't it great to have these ladies (or gentlemen) around to help weed out the fakers! Kudos!

All are authentic. The third one is a PDA (Palm Pilot) case.

Yup, links to where purchased (if applicable) and seller ID if from an online venue.

They all look genuine. The brown zippered case with the Velcro is some kind of PDA or Palm Pilot case.

I don't have names for the others, and I'd need to see the backs of the 2 swing wallets to figure out what style they are.
