Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.

Please follow the following requests:

• Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
• Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.

• Front of item
• Back of item
• Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
• Made in tags (when available)
• Measurements
• For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
• For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
• If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

She can attach letters from the Pope, the Archbishop of Canterbury, and the Dalai Lama for all I care, the bag is STILL a POS FAKE. If she wants to come here and have a debate with me, I'm more than happy to prove her wrong.

For starters, Copy & Save ALL of the seller's listing photos NOW before the listing diappears, and save these three as well that I copied and enlarged from her listing - notice the misspelling of "scrtches" in the creed too. Wait for BeenBurned for more advice.

Meanwhile, as always, we don't recommend buying from sellers like uptownfoxfashion who make NO attempt to verify a bag's authenticity even when there's a free-to-use Fashion Discussion forum right on Ebay where she could have done it after she got your complaint, and where she SHOULD have done it before she even listed that fake. There are at least 5 or 6 MAJOR mistakes that prove it's fake beyond any doubt.

Thanks to all of you who have so generously and quickly looked at the fake bag I bought. Wish I had never bought the bag but there are a lot of lessons learned, one of them being what a tremendous resource TPF is. Appreciate all of you!

I also recommend you leave appropriate (read: negative) feedback NOW for uptownfoxfashion.

I suspect that the listing will be reported and removed (possibly all the previous unsold listings for the same bag) and once the listing is removed, you won't be able to leave feedback.

That's ridiculous, but they don't clean bags or repair older bags. You should try contacting Jed Winokur with the Coach archives to see if he knows anything about it. That is SO SICK, that Coach would send it back to her saying it is fake.
I think the employees should be a little (LOT) better educated on the basics at least!
Geez --- I bet if we sent in a GOOD knock-off for repair they would fix it and send it back!

Since you have already gotten the return label, it makes no difference. That bag is 100% fake and anyone who knows even a little bit about authenticating Coach would know that.

I would love to see that authentication letter.
SHAME ON CAROLEDIVA if they really did authenticate that POS.

Just received her authenticity letter from a caroldiva.com. Went ahead and provided the original authentication link. Hopefully eBay is taking a look at all of this. Thanks again.

Unfortunately I don't think it would be the first time they've "authenticated" a screamingly fake Coach.

NM, I see that's already been pointed out. But I'll keep my post up just as back-up.

I can't recommend Caroldiva, MyPoupette, and ***************** for any accurate Coach authentications.

Also point out to her that the following Completed listings at Ebay all have exactly the same fake serial number AND the same misspelling of the word "SCRTCHES" in the creed stamp, which is the same mistake as posted in post 9341 that is in your fake and 2 other totally different bags, one of which was a briefcase, and that Ebay has already removed. GENUINE COACH CREEDS DON'T HAVE SPELLING MISTAKES!

All of these bags have OTHER indicators that they're fake besides just the serial number and the misspelled word in the creed, and all except one are completely different styles.

And AFAIK, there is no genuine Coach style number 4154.

I have to disagree.

I would assume that Carol authenticated from the pictures in the listing and the pictures clearly show the creed. The creed ALL BY ITSELF was enough to prove that bag as fake.

Ignoring the misspelling is bad enough, and not checking current and Completed listings on Ebay is inexcusable. But how does anyone who accepts money for services justify authenticating a "Coach" with a style number that apparently doesn't even exist on a genuine bag? Did they look at the listing's photos AT ALL????

And both Daria48 and I mention that serial number twice in our Guides and posts, including "-4154, -9956, -9941 - Any bag with a serial # from 1994 or newer ending in any of these needs to be looked at by the experts here, every one we've seen so far has been fake". How much more proof do you need? Jeez, the first 3 hits on Google for "Coach M4N 4154" lead to the Daria48 Guide and dozens of posts here at tPF - as well as that ripoff of Daria's guide by the FlyinRoach. How freakin' hard is it to check Google?

I really wish these "services" would just have the balls to tell anyone asking for Coach authentications "Sorry, we're not qualified to authenticate that brand". Because THEY'RE NOT.
