I think I bought a fake at an "upscale" consignment shop in Wisconsin--the kind of place where bags are treated like gold, and you're only given a few moments to inspect before you purchase. I fear it is the dreaded "Equestrian Drawstring" with the H7B prefix. I want to return, and just need verification that the bag is indeed a fake.

Approx 10" wide, 10.5" high, 3" deep. Interior has one hanging pocket with creed on it. Poor stitching on drawstring ends. Bag feels a bit stiff, but doesn't look like it's been conditioned.

Thanks VERY MUCH in advance for your help with this.
You are correct.

The bag is fake. I hope they'll give you a refund.

Hello, can any tell whether this is authentic or not? 🧐

“Coach black signature jacquard fabric and leather trim trifold wallet

Being sold on DEPOP. There are a few more images in the link if needed too. No creed for in this wallet to post.

Thank you!

Thank you, very much appreciated :)
You quoted a post of mine that wasn't authenticating this wallet. To be clear, in that post, I wasn't verifying the wallet you've asked about (yet).

Although some signature wallets from the early half of the 2000-2005 decade are closely faked, your wallet from Depop seller ellidala looks fine.

Both are authentic.

Be careful and verify potential purchases from shopsastores_flint as they've had quite a few fakes among their listings. A couple of recent Hall of Shame posts were made: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...oach-fakes-here.824098/page-609#post-36322008

Coach told me this was fake. Is it true?

Item: Backpack
Listing number: 236087567606
Seller and site where listed: eBay; McGigsChicago (me)

Comments: Coach said this was fake; description in listing. Zippers do not say YKK. See additional pic for male magnet part. Thank you!

Sorry for the delayed response.

1. No, Coach was wrong and they aren't dependable when it comes to authenticating.
2. YKK zippers don't prove authenticity and lack of YKK on zippers doesn't disprove authenticity
3. Not sure why they told you bags had to be made in Vietnam to be authentic, that's incorrect. (In fact, in 1996 when your backpack was made, Coach didn't have a Vietnam plant.) China is the correct country of origin for your bag.
4. Coach makes or has made bags in US, Mexico, Hungary, Italy, China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Philippines, Turkey and there may be other countries I missed.
5. Everything about your bag is absolutely correct for when and where made, the style of the bag and all other details that determine authenticity.

That listing shows an authentic Coach backpack made in 1996.

EDIT: Please don't depend on Coach employees, many of whom weren't even born at the time some Coaches were made (!!!), to help with authenticating bags. They aren't trained for that and in truth, aren't even allowed to authenticate per company policy!

Another poshmark listing. I don't love Poshmark (sellers keep canceling for no reason), but when the price is RIGHT, and it's beautiful Costa Rican leather, I'll take a chance. This looks to be a classic compartment tote, 9872. Please and thank you for taking a look.
