Here are After pictures of my black Legacy Hobo 9058 (USA, 2001). These were taken after the second rehab when I applied Fiebing's Black Saddle Soap. I also used Leather CPR Conditioner, and Blackrock's Leather n Rich, and I polished the brass hardware.

I have also included a Coach WayBack page for the bag from 2001.

Isn't she pretty?! She still has some flaws and dents but I am much happier with the appearance of the bag now!
it does look like camel was offered from katev's screenshot
Yes, thanks for the references! 🫶
I used the photo forom this thread and sent it to the seller to show her that it was a new style but she insisted that the bag is authentic. The catalog mentions the bag came in Vicuna and never mentions Camel. I'm also in a Vintage Coach bag FB group and have seen so many Camel colored 9085s and am very confused about those too. Is it possible the bags did come in Camel at some point in time?

We don't rely completely on catalogs for colors. Some colors never made it into catalogs. Also, things made for the outlet don't appear in a catalog.

Thank you, BeenBurned.

The seller did process a full refund and maintains that the bag is authentic and the listing is currently live again on Etsy. She also found these messages and said she will report me for sharing out messages and falsely claiming that the bag is counterfeit.

She has provided the following screenshot from this link as her evidence. It actually does state in the editor's notes that it was made in 1990, though it is directly contradicting Coach's own website for this link. I've searched through Coach's catalogs from 1990 and onward, as well as this Vintage Coach Bag Database, and have never seen this before the year 2000. I'm confused. :confused1:
The bag was definitely NOT made in 1996 as indicated by the seller.

Every bag (style 9058) I found was made in 2000, 2001 or 2002. (There may be some later ones but none in the 90s.)

Your seller is of the mistaken belief that if the style of the bag has a seemingly "correct" style number, it must be authentic. But the counterfeiters have made many fakes with "correct" serial numbers.

Note that I made a correction to my post.

This listing is an AUTHENTIC bag (9073)

That's a different bag, 9073. The seller screwed up the title of the listing.

I was able to find one 1999 bag (style 9058) but most of those available were made in 2000 or later.

This listing is an AUTHENTIC bag (9058) and is the earliest I was able to find from 1999.

Yes, I think she fully believes that her bag is authentic because of the format of the creed. She fully intends on reselling it to some poor other person who doesn't know better (like me initially 🥲).

I let Etsy know and submitted my evidence, but I don't have the power to do much more than that especially since I'm the only one complaining to them lol.

The ONLY thing that I did find that confused me was this Vintage 9058 that sold on Coach's site that states in the Editor's Notes that it was made in 1990 for some reason??? But they contradict themselves because in this Vintage 9058 that sold on Coach's site it states in the Editor's Notes that is was first introduced in 2000.

-----Also, by chance can Creeds that have a dash "–" between the "No" and the first letter of the Month code ever authentic?

Wow, thank you!! That is immensely helpful  I only learned how to browse the Wayback yesterday during my research haha. I love being able to bring out the receipts

It's great to know camel was a color offered as it is beautiful!
LOL, receipts, for real. When in doubt, search this thread and the forum. It’s a treasure trove. I’m so grateful for the body of knowledge preserved here by the authenticators! And the whole forum.

They make a lot of mistakes at Coach.com. The people who write the copy aren't well informed. There are some authentic creeds that can have an extra dash like in your picture. We use all details of a creed along with design details of a bag to determine authenticity. You can't usually determine a bag is authentic based on one picture, but one picture may be enough prove a bag is fake.

I see, thank you! I was wondering why Coach contradicted themselves. I even found a singular Editor's Note on another lisiting on Coach's site that said it was made in 1992 lol.

Either way, thank you all for warning me about the fake and I appreciate your time and your valuable insight! I can only hope that someone doesn't try to purchase the re-listed fake 🙏

EDIT: It appears that now the listing on Etsy has been removed and the Posmark listing is inactive (at least for now), though the one on Instagram is still there. Instagram

Good evening authenticators, could you please authenticate this bag for me? Thank you!
I authenticated this bag on Prizon. It said it is real, but I'm not quite sure.
Because the bag is really small and hard to take photos, so I just used few photos I uploaded on Prizon.

Item: COACH Mini town bucket bag #C7266
Listing Creed Number: H2177-C7266
Seller and site where listed: Depop
Do you have a link to the listing?

Hi there, I was wondering if this coach bag could be authenticated? I noticed that the creed is a little slanted and the hang tag. Any help would be super great, thank you so much!

Next time read the first post at the top of the thread. We need to know where you got the bag; if online, we need a link to the listing. It's fake.
