For my own edification, can you tell me what indicates fake? Is it that the number starts with an N? I know some of the letters indicate months, but only go up to M. Of course I learned this *after* I took the plunge. Also, found this forum after.

Open a return for not as described, indicating counterfeit. The letter N is part of the problem. There are some exceptions in which there are valid mistakes when a N was used by a Coach factory in error, but this isn't one of them. The bigger problem is the R. That is supposed to represent the plant where the bag was made. The code R was not used to represent a plant in the US although the creed wording says the bag was made in the US. R was used for a plant in Thailand.

Hopefully the seller will do the right thing and accept the return, giving you a full refund and paying for return shipping. If she doesn't, you can escalate the case to ebay after enough time has passed. It should be decided in your favor.

Hi there! I took a chance on the handle backpack and now that I have received it- the straps bother me- I do t think it’s authentic. I sent pics on March 20 and was told the creed isn’t clear enough. The creed picture isn't much clearer. From what I can see, I think it is fake. More opinions are welcome.

I agree that the bag is fake.

You're correct in that it can't be authenticated without more pictures. If those are the pictures that "Legitmark" used to evaluate authenticity, that's not a dependable company, IMO.

I got this coach at goodwill and am trying to authenticate it. My main suspicion has to do with the font of the creed patch, but every listing I’ve seen of this purse being sold has the same font as well…
Height: 7in, length: 11.5in, depth: 3in, straps: 9in from top to bag.

Thank you. I didn't know until I received it because a creed patch photo wasn't posted. I was worried when I saw J8Y-9790 on the creed patch. I'll have to try to initiate a return. Do have any suggestions. Thanks again.

Open a claim on the Goodwill site and if they don't cover return shipping and/or offer a refund without the return, file a claim through your credit card payment method.

You might also suggest to Goodwill that they should vet their authenticators better. So far, they've had fakes that were "authenticated" by Entrupy, Legitmark and ******************.

The pictures aren't adequate for authentication.

I'd like a straight on picture of the creed as well as a picture of the small white label buried somewhere inside the bag, possibly in the inner pocket, lower left corner.
