Could I get an authentication, pretty please? Also, what is the name of this style, if known? Item: coach purse

Thanks so much! [emoji3]
It's probably okay. I say probably only because I can't read the entire creed. The seller doesn't provide measurements so I can't be sure but it looks like a lightweights shoulder bag 4050.

Hi, this is my first time posting, I hope I am in the right place. I stupidly purchased this vintage Coach Trail bag 9965, without clear photos on ebay and I'm pretty sure it's a fake. The seller insists it's authentic.

The first picture is the underside of the flap of the black bag that I just got (the tan one is one I own, I tried to show her the comparison). Indentations under the tabs - sure sign of a fake right? The second pic, her black fake- wrong font right? Third pic - my tan one, for comparison.

Can someone authenticate, (or unauthenticate) please? And thank you, in advance.

You're right on all counts, the black one is fake. There is one important detail of the serial number that's definitely wrong as well as having a fake turnlock. Open a dispute if the seller refuses a refund or wants you to pay for a return.

Here's a real one from the same year and plant but just a few months later, so it's a more representative comparison:

Thank you so much! This forum is great!

Thanks for very interesting link! After I saw vintage thread, I don't think I can collect 2/3 only - as planned. My plan was max 2/3 of each Vtg from Dooney/Coach/other brand [emoji33]

If you mean you can't stop at 2 or 3 as planned, welcome to the rabbit hole! Sometimes Cashin designed bags will go for affordable prices, meaning $60 to $80 if you get lucky.
I found my 3 that way! You can console yourself with a few nice early Coach bags made in NYC instead. :smile1:
