Hi. Thank you for taking a look. I am almost positive this briefcase is fake for a number of reasons....

1. because the number etched in is K2L 9790. The creed says United States, but the letter "L" doesn't match for United States.
The creed is correct and reads:
THIS IS A COACH BAG. IT WAS HANDCRAFTED IN THE UNITED STATES OF COMPLETELY NATURAL GLOVE-TANNED COWHIDE. THE VARIATIONS IN THE GRAIN ARE CHARACTERISTIC OF NATURAL FULL-GRAIN LEATHER.

Also, 9790 matches for a city bag, not a briefcase.

2. It almost looks like the leather piece with the creed and number were stitched in and that piece of leather doesn't match the interior or exterior leather.

Unbelievable!

Looking forward to your opinions.

Thank you.
Please post a link to the listing from which it was purchased.

See the yellow highlighted post at the top of each page of this thread for the inforamtion we need for authentication requests.

Hello authenticators! I've come to ask for your help once again if that is ok. I am searching for a good 9033 ergo bag for my younger sister. I found one but I am not sure if it's real. All the bags on their page don't have hang tags. I know that means nothing but I want to be sure. Thank you for your time.

Hello! Were there any Stewardess bags produced in the pre-creed days? I have one that looks and feels like Coach, measurements match, but there is no creed or Coach mark anywhere. Also no feet, and it has “solid brass” stamped on the front turn lock.
Possible name: Stewardess bag
No creed
Measurements: 11 w x 10 h x 4 1/2w
Purchased in a thrift store over 5 years ago.
Thank you for any guidance you can give me.

I don't believe that was made by Coach.

This briefcase was purchased at a church sale, so I have no link.
