Hi, wanted to see if this is authentic and if so, is it a prairie bag? It looks like it’s another type of bag. Attached is the creed pic, and thanks in advance!

No, it's not a Prairie Bag. The creed photo shows a genuine bag and it looks like a Roll Bag style 9887 made in the early 1990s.

Hello, Authenticators. I haven't been on here much since the New Year. We had an outbreak of RSV in my family (husband is still sick 2.5 months later) and I had the thrill of breaking my wrist due to a fall on the ice in my driveway. So, typing anything has been stupidly hard for a long time. As dexterity returns, so has ebay scrolling. I purchased this duffle as I felt reasonably comfortable it's ok. Of course, nothing I'd like better than a hand holding from my favorite TPFers. I had one in Aqua, sold it (Hi, Annie!), regretted it and now, hopefully, have added it back to the herd.

Hello authenticators,
Can you please tell me the name of this bag and the year it was manufactured? I purchased this bag in the '80's (I think:confused1:) from either Marshall Fields or Gimbels. I was hard on this bag and it developed an open seam at a stress point along the piping. I took the bag to the Coach store and they sent it off for repair. The repair people replaced all the piping, the leather connection points that attaches the strap to the bag, and they installed a new strap. (I don't think I paid much for the repair--those were the days.) I have never used it since it was repaired. ((I was disappointed that the color of the new piping does not match closer to the color of the original leather (as if that would have mattered since the leather looks bad because it is so scratched !!) . I bought the Stewardess bag instead. ))

I would love to find this bag in British Tan. I love the gusseted front pocket; it is so useful. I think it is a great design!)

Sorry about your medical issues. I'm glad you're back on the mend.

The bag is authentic from 1996.

You're in the authentication thread so I'll authenticate it even though you know it's fine. And it is.

Actually, I like the look of the contrasting/not-perfectly-matched trim!

It was actually made in the early 1990s. We would need measurements to identify it.

Coach often was unable to match the piping and other trim exactly when they did that kind of repair. Sometimes they would give the owner the choice of replacing the damaged or worn trim with a completely different color. I had a British Tan Station Bag where the trim had been replaced with black and they even included a black strap. The contrasting trim gave those bags a "Spectator" look that I liked very much.

Hi everyone,
I was interested in this bag on poshmark and wanted to please have some insight to see if it's authentic? I think it's from the late 80s based on the serial number but kind of doubtful just because of of how good the condition is? Thank you in advance!

Thanks for identifying the year. I looked in TPF catalog links. My bag is the Ranch bag. It was in the Fall 1990 catalog. They made it in British Tan, Forest Green, and Tabac to name a few. Maybe I will get very lucky and find one.

Hello! I really enjoy this forum and have learned so much about vintage coach bags.
I was hoping to authenticate this Monterey Flap Top Grain #6147.
The bag is mine, I am going through my closet and sorting through the ones I want to keep and ones I want to part with.
The bag was from my aunt, she lived in New York. I have had it for at least 10 years.
It is 10" x 10" x 3", camel color with dark brown trim, nickel hardware marked Coach
creed number K3H-6147
magnetic closure, marked Magnet and No 39188?
Thank you! Really appreciate the time you spend educating everyone
