Hello! I really enjoy this forum and have learned so much about vintage coach bags.
I was hoping to authenticate this Monterey Flap Top Grain #6147.
The bag is mine, I am going through my closet and sorting through the ones I want to keep and ones I want to part with.
The bag was from my aunt, she lived in New York. I have had it for at least 10 years.
It is 10" x 10" x 3", camel color with dark brown trim, nickel hardware marked Coach
creed number K3H-6147
magnetic closure, marked Magnet and No 39188?
Thank you! Really appreciate the time you spend educating everyone

Sorry, it's fake. There are problems with the serial number and the hardware.

Search these forums for "Coach serial k3h"

Thank you Hyacinth for taking the time to review the pics. That's a bummer, it's a nice bag but too bad it's fake.
Can you help me find a resource to see what the magnetic closure should look like or what numbers/etc.
it should have on it? I searched the forum and not finding much info.

Here's a question. I think I have another bag (made in Vietnam) where the little white tag seems to be sewn INSIDE the bag. I can sort of feel it, but I can't see it. When I pulled the pocket out, there was a little blob of white thread on the black fabric seam where the tag should be, and I pulled it. The white thread pulled out. I think the tag went free-flying inside the bag interior. I undid what was holding it there. The fabric lining is black and shining the flashlight through does not show me the tag. Can you authenticate without that? Anyway, just in case, here is the bag:
Item: Coach Womens Carlyle Black Leather Inner Divider Double Handle Shoulder Handbag
Link: https://shopgoodwill.com/item/192944916
Seller: shopgoodwill.com, store: Goodwill Industries of South Florida
bag meaures about 14 inches long by 10.75 inches high by 5.5 inches across the bottom. Here are some photos. If you can evaluate, thanks! I'm temped to cut the pocket lining and "fish" for the tag. PS: The leather is absolutely gorgeous. Bag looks unused.

I think it's probably okay.

Good evening Authenticators! Both of these listings are from the same seller who states the cases are new, but neither one has tags. Can you confirm authenticity of each? If authentic, any idea when Coach made these? Or any other info to share? Thank you!
