  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.

  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)

  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Comments: This python-embossed Kristin Clutch 14990 (China, 2010) caught my eye because I had never seen a bag quite like it before. I was curious about it so I put it on my Watchlist. The seller sent an offer for $10 so I decided to satisfy my curiosity and I purchased it. It’s in bad shape and I don’t know if it can be restored. It’s missing the hangtags but it still has the unusual strap.

Oh gosh, thank you for offering to check. I didn’t want to put you to the trouble. I’ve just checked both bags and I’d written the plant code as a 6, when on both bags it’s a C! Lesson learned.

I have others though so may well ask if you’d be kind enough to authenticate. It’s too dark here now to take pictures.

There are plenty of fakes with "C" plant stamps too.

No item can be deemed authentic without pictures.

OTOH, items CAN be determined to be fake if a serial number is invalid.

I am sure. I’ve been doing my reading and understanding as best as I can. I’ll keep doing this and looking at the pictures. I have too many to just put them all on here straight away, so I’ll post ones I’m concerned about against the advice I’ve read, and take it from there.

I was wondering if you could please check this pouch for me when you have a chance? It looks kind of vintage so I'm hoping it's something interesting. Ps. I searched for others to try and ID it but no luck so far. Any help is appreciated.

Please be sure to include photos with the details listed in the top READ ME post on each page. Be sure to follow the instructions. One item per post, please, and take your time. You don't have to post everything in one day. And in the future, save time by authenticating before buying whenever possible.

Just looking at photos sometimes isn't going to tell you if a Coach is genuine unless you have a photo library of known genuine examples to compare it to.

As long as the listing (active or completed) is still viewable, we need the link and seller ID.

The bag is authentic.

The bag is fake. Either cancel (if you haven't received it) or return it!

One of the reasons we require seller ID in requests so we can look up a seller's history, good or bad.
