Dear team, earlier I forgot to bring you my best wishes for 2024.
Hereby another request for your authenication support, and this time it has some clear red flags (including one mentioned a few posts above). Nevertheless, I would like to be sure...
I did buy it already (I checked, but not good enough. Today I checked again, and I see the writing on the wall now).
The straps have come loose and are tied with a knot (this is a defect, however fixable). I am able to return when fake, and will do so.

It seems to be an Everett-style bag, but with a very suspicious serial number.

Here it is:

Many thanks in advance, you are doing such great work and with so much commitment. Truly appreciated.

Dear team,
Hereby another request for your authenication support, as I increasingly realise your check has become almost a bare necessity. I scrolled through the other thread today with all the counterfeit references. The closing remark of @Hyacinth resonated with me: old vintage are increasingly becoming counterfeited too, going with the trend. I thought that would be a relative safe era, but now I realise it isn't.

I did buy the bag already, fell in love with its red and would like to bring it back in shape. I am able to return when fake, and will. This will be registered by Vinted.

Here it is:
Seller: mikinora
The pictures are the seller's, from the ad.

Cheers!

Hi authenticators, wonder if you could look at my support requests in post 86308 and in post 86317? Cheers
Sorry you were missed.

The first one (with creed showing G4D-9927 as the serial number) is fake.

The second one (red) is authentic.

Hello Authenticators,
I saw a bag similar to mine posted yesterday so I thought I'd ask about these 2 small legacy bags I picked up a few weeks ago. Thank you!

The tan one has a creed with no numbers and the black one doesn't have any identification other than the made in tag.

FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
Item: Mini Soho Swingpack?
Where purchased: GW store
Comments: Approx 7.5"x8"
Ps. I've searched the catalog section for hours and I can't seem to find these anywhere.
Both are authentic. They're not the identical style as the previous (similar) bag I ID'ed as 8A13 as neither of yours has the tassel.

Your 2 bags are very similar to each other as well as being similar to the previous (8A13) bag but yours are different styles (different lining, different stitching on corners) and were MFF bags. The previous bag asked about was a boutique bag.

N problem, and thank you ever so much for your support. The good news is: I am learning to spot some obvious red flags thanks to this forum and you outrageous experienced authenticators. 🙌

The bad news is that there are so many counterfeits, also in the vintage Coach bags, and they are still sold abundantly. The platforms are clearly not upt to it. Truly sad. I will return this fake bag promptly. Thanks again!

Ahh! Thanks Beenburned for your time and expertise! I'm so glad to hear that they're both authentic. I appreciate the extra information too!! I hope you have a great weekend. Thanks again :flowers:

That looks like the SECOND G4D-9927 fake we've seen just in the last week and it's also for the same reasons, wrong style number and incorrect font for the plant and year.

Here's a different fake in a different style with the same fake style and serial number that was just posted here Wednesday.

Hi! I was wondering if someone knew the style of this vintage Coach bag? It was my mother's from the 1980s, and it has been well loved by me (unfortunately I only recently learned about how to properly care for these bags!) Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

The bag is fake. If it is (or was) listed online, it may still be reportable.

Hi can someone authenticate this Coach Field Tote 22 In Signature Denim

Is this bag listed somewhere? If so, we need a link to the listing and the seller's ID.

If not listed, please state where it came from.
@theodesiahenry
I hope you return to your post and let us know if and where this bag is listed so it can be reported.

The bag is fake.

ETA: I found the listing on Mercari from seller evrf. It's listed at $209.95!

Please report!

ETA again: If evrf is buying for resale from Poshmark or other sites (as she claims in this listing), she needs to verify authenticity of items BEFORE listing them!

Feel free to refer evrf here.
