It's authentic. Are you talking about the verdigris on the brass? It can happen. It probably happens more in humid environments. That turnlock looks worse than most. You can use brass polishing products on it but I don't know if you would ever get that turnlock perfect. You can buy replacements turnlocks if you prefer. Often the zipper chain won't shine up at all as it is worn down to a base metal.
Thanks for clarifying. For whatever reason, I thought it was corrosion of some sort versus verdigris. And then I looked at the word verdigris, a French riff on green and grey.... Brain blips!

Wonderful, thank you! I’m yet to come across the Lightweight line.

If you take some time to look through our Vintage Catalog thread in the Coach Reference Library beginning in about 1987 and going through 1993, you'll find a section on the Lightweights in almost every catalog.


The style numbers usually but not always begin with 40** or 41**. Coach started renaming the style line "Soho" starting around 1993.
