Hello!

I purchased this Watson today at my local thrift shop for a few dollars but, I have my doubts. Could she be authenticated?

I’ve only rehabbed a friend’s red Coach bag once, and I don’t remember there being white on the inside where dye may not have gotten to? Also, I’m not certain about the hang tag, the font looks a little off to me.

Thank you so much!

The white along the seams isn't the problem because they do shave the nap from the back of the leather to make it less bulky when assembling it.

But the bag is fake as the serial prefix is invalid. Even for a few dollars, I'd return it for either refund (if they'll do it) or exchange. If you used a c.c., you can file for a chargeback since the sale of fakes is illegal.

You’re awesome, thank you! I’ll do that this weekend. Have a good Thanksgiving!

Hi everyone. I'm new here so I hope I'm posting to the right place. I have a Coach handbag that was bought for £3 about 15 years ago in a retro shop in Manchester UK. It originally had a "real leather" keyring on it but this has since been lost.
I actually had no idea that it might have been anything special until recently. Please could you lovely lot advise me on

Edit: I'm trying to add photos but it's not quite working just yet!

Hi all! I’m new here. I bought this bag yesterday at Goodwill and thought it was my first vintage Coach find, but the serial number is throwing me off. Any help is appreciated. It measures: 7 x 7.75

Sorry, it's fake. There are several serious mistakes in the serial number includingthe font and an invalid month code "T", there's a problem with the turnlock, and the style number 4151 isn't correct. Take it back and insist on a full refund.

THIS is style 4151:

It's a genuine Ritchie Bag from 1995

Thanks so much. That’s what I was afraid of. I’m not sure Goodwill accepts returns. Might just cut my loss of $20. Thanks so much for your help

You're correct to be thrown off.

The bag is fake.

Sorry.

ETA: Oops, I hadn't refreshed to see that the bag was already (un) authenticated.
