Hello there authenticators,
¿Could you please help me authenticate this bag?

I started collecting vintage Coach since last year but I really have my doubts on this one... I've seen this model doesn't get any serial number on the creed, so I'm not sure...

FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:

Item: Cosmetic case large No. 7172
Where purchased or how obtained: bought it on a flea market last summer
Comments: N/A

In advance, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and time

Oh so sorry i asked the buyer...

My computer can't even open Mercari listings, but the creed stamping matches several genuine Made in Italy creeds in my files. I just can't tell what actual style it is, although it was probably made in 1992 or 1993 if the photos are of the same bag.

BeenBurned will no longer authenticate Mercari listings because they have become as bad at allowing fakes on their site as Poshmark, but maybe @Whateve can figure out what it is?

Sorry, it's fake. The serial number is invalid and the stamp's details are wrong.

A few authentic Cosmetic Cases were made with creeds , but that is NOT one of them.

I'd love anyone's help with this one also. Just bought off of Mercari and having some second thoughts because the creed looks kinda funny.

Thank you so so much!

Thank you so so much!

Serial prefix "K3H-"is invalid and ALWAYS fake. It's also in the Daria48 Fake Numbers List that's posted in the Salearea Guides thread. The serial stamping is also too big, and there's a problem with the turnlock.

Please remember that links to listings and seller IDs are required for requests.

I hope you're able to get a refund. (Mercari isn't always buyer-friendly when buyers receive fakes.)

Hello, authenticators. I read all the rules and didn't see anything saying I couldn't ask for authentication on non-purse items. I've come across a seller (who mentions this forum by name) with a ton of coach key fobs that has me concerned.

COACH Vintage Red Enamel Multi Snowflake Keychain Fob Purse Charm-#7322
eBay: 134577805850
Seller: American Resale Company

He has many other key fobs - I'll post a couple other links - and he also sells on Mercari and Poshmark. If these are rare and vintage, how can he have so many? I used to have a business where I sold coach on eBay and, at one time, considered myself an expert in identifying fakes. I was even an authenticator on a different purse forum. I feel out of my element now.

Others with multiples:

24 sold!

One of my biggest concerns is he has this statement on each of his listings: "+++The popular blog called forum.purseblog has been used by consumers to verify some of my Coach items. If you want to authenticate for yourself, post my photos or seller name to their "Authenticate this Coach" Thread and they will authenticate for you for FREE!+++"

I did a search in this forum and did not find his seller name. Any help is appreciated!

Hello and welcome!

The seller DID come up for discussion in the past and at first, we had the same concerns as you based on the quantities and age of the items he had listed. (Seller ID on ebay: americanresalecompany)

@Hyacinth had valid concerns posted here:

And I posted (in response to the seller) here:
and

He responded to me in the next post, explaining that when he'd first listed his items, he wasn't using his own pictures, a huge concern since there are so many fake keychains around and using pictures that aren't the actual item(s) makes it impossible to know what buyers will receive.

He has since posted his own pictures of authentic keychains and although the "wholesale lot" story is something we hadn't (previously) heard of Coach doing, it does sound like americanresalecompany and a few other sellers have managed to get their hands on lots of older authentic keychains.

ETA: The 2 keychains you asked about are authentic.

Hi Authenticators! Can someone authenticate this late night impulse purchase of mine from the listing photos? I still should have time to cancel (and/or can return) via poshmark if not. It was a weak moment because they sent me an offer (rolling eyes at myself of course); on second look the creed is a bit faded in her picture, and now having seen several fakes on here in a search, I wonder.

Thank you for any help!

Oh, wow! Thanks so much! I don't know how I didn't find him in the search. I think I put spaces in his seller name. I'm so glad to learn that I haven't lost my touch, lol. I used to only do bags. I truly appreciate the wealth of information you provided! Thanks, again!
