Hi! I've had this bag for a few years now, found at a yard sale. Haven't been able to identify it thus far - would love to know more about it!
Thanks in advance.

Please wait for the authenticators, but I will point out another I found that was for sale. They called it the Stroll Metro Tote, 9004. https://www.etsy.com/listing/955351858/coach-stroll-metro-tote-vintage-handbag

The Etsy listing that @ConnieinSeattle found almost has the name right. It's a RETRO Stroll Tote and would have been made in 1991 or 1992, and it's genuine.

If she is saying that, she doesn't understand how PM works. Why isn't she just opening a return request and letting PM handle it?
She bought it like 2 weeks ago so she can’t open a case. These buyers sometimes do this on purpose, because poshmark will sometimes refund them and let them keep the item, but sometimes they tell the seller to refund posh for the item, it’s kinda iffy. Posh rules depend on the agent that takes the case on.

I give every buyer the benefit of the doubt. I’ve had some buyers who freak out “omg no ykk zipper it’s fake!” Or like in mini bags “no creed it’s fake”. Whether they can still no pen a case or not, I give every concern my full attention. It’s not just about the money, but it’s also my reputation…. And I don’t want a buyer thinking they were scammed.
I always give a quick lesson on coach authenticity, providing links with articles on authentication. I tell them to post it here, or offer to do it for them. After that I contact Al at Authentic detective. He can usually have me a COA within an hour. Most buyers are actually super receptive and thank me. This woman didn’t want to listen. She got so verbally abusive my mom was in the car, she read the messages and was like “I’d have quit poshmark over this.” I ended up reporting her and they said they’d take action against her account, usually means a 3 day suspension. For me though - accusations of selling fake really sting. I know some people wear fakes proudly and to each their own, but selling a fake is illegal and can compromise my account.
Can the buyer open a return request on PM when 2 weeks have passed?

@Roxy5705

Although you came here and verified authenticity of this item, we goofed. (Had @whateve not commented on the listing, I would have posted that it looked good to me too.)

For reference, this was the original request you'd posted: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...ost-for-format.889527/page-5618#post-35771809

But as it turns out, we both were wrong and the Rexy charm you bought on Mercari from DanTheBagMan is fake. If you used a credit card for payment, that's a last resort if Mercari (1st option) or Paypal (2nd option if used) for disputing the purchase.

As has been found during the last decade or so, the fakes have gotten very close, both in bags as well as accessories. In fact, in January, 2019, I started a PM conversation with the other authenticators in which I've been adding "close fakes" so we have pictures of the comps and how close they are for our records. That thread in 4.5 years is 37 pages long - and growing!

In order to avoid helping the counterfeiters (and the sellers of fakes) to make a better fake, I shall avoid pointing out too many differences. There are other differences but the following 2 photos are enough to prove inauthenticity.

But the lightning bolt shows a big difference as does the clip. (Click to enlarge)

@Roxy5705 -- apologies for the mistake. If necessary, refer Mercari and DanTheBagMan here.

DanTheBagMan has a lot of Coach charms. If items have come from the same source, beware.
Update, Mercari did give me Mercari credits to use in the next 90 days. The refund was not via my original form of payment, because I had already accepted the order. They would not accept your explanation of why the rexy charm was fake. They required a “certificate”, so I had to get a second authentication. The certificate had to be provided within 15 days of receiving the charm. I barely made the cut off and it took days before I really understood what they required. What a hassle! Thank you again for all your help!

Hi there! Apologies in advance if I misformat my first post to ask for help in authenticating a Coach Willis 9927 that I recently purchased on Mercari.

Item: Vintage coach Willis british tan top handle leather crossbody

Listing number: n/a
Seller and site where listed: ‘Envied Closet’ on the site Mercari
Link: https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m66129202809/?sv=lg
Comments: Attached are photos I took after receiving the bag from the seller. (Note, there’s tiny print on the zipper slider on the inside of the bag that has the letters YKK on it that I had a hard time capturing in the photos due to the lighting.) The measurements of the bag are 10.5” (Length) x 9” (Height) x 3.5” (Width). The serial number is D0C-9927. The reason why I’m slightly worried is because when I searched this forum to see if this serial number had already been authenticated in the past, I happened across this post from 2013 about a bag that is a different color (Black instead of British Tan) than the one that I purchased that shares the same serial number: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/authenticate-this-coach.818914/post-25296686
Many thanks in advance and I hope my post is clear and isn’t too confusing to digest.

Hello, could you look at the following?

Item: Becket Zip
Where purchased or how obtained: estate sale a few months ago
Comments: I noticed the pull looks wrong, but I'm wondering if it is a replacement. The creed is faint. I put some baking soda on it to see the numbers better.

Thanks in advance!
