I BOUGHT THIS BAG ON EBAY AND SELLER IS POSITIVE IT IS REAL EVEN THOUGH THE POCKET IS 2 INCHES WIDER THAN THE 9953 SHOULD BE PLEASE AUTHENTICATE THAT THIS IS NOT REAL
Item: 231636082327
Listing number:
Seller: marekpru

Comments attached is the red bucket i bought beside another 9953 to show the different size pocket

We've seen other 9953 fakes with exactly the same problem - wrong size inside pocket. The font used for the serial number is also wrong for that plant, month and year. The photo below shows a GENUINE creed and serial from that plant, month and year in a genuine Willis Bag. For comparison, the creed from the FAKE red 9953 is below it.

Wait for Whateve, she might want clear close-ups of other parts of the bag. But based on other comparison photos I have of known fakes and known fake serial numbers, the red one is NOT genuine.

Need experts to authenticate please...the leather of this bag feels different, kinda thin...thanks in advance.
Was this bag in an online listing or posting somewhere? Please refer to the first post of the thread for the information we need for authentications.

So far, I don't see any problems.

I agree it is fake. Besides the shape of the pocket and the problems with the creed, I think I can see that the zipper pull isn't sewn all the way around.

I appreciate so much everyone's help...... now to get the seller to believe it!
Save a copy of the listing in case it gets removed. (If ebay does remove the listing, that might send the seller a strong message, especially since her account will get a "counterfeit" ding.)

You might want to refer the seller, marekpru here since it's clear that she resells purchases that weren't made from authorized resellers, i.e., Macy's, Coach, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Marshall's, etc.

It's perfectly fine to find deals to flip but sellers have to know their products and if not, need to authenticate before listing!

Note that the seller's description mentions his lack of handbag knowledge! It may be in excellent condition but it's counterfeit, illegal and never should have been listed!

I'm really no expert when it comes to bags and purses, but I figure I've a keen eye, and having looked at this and other items that she's listed, this COACH bag is in EXCELLENT condition!

I bought this at a yardsale for $7 and was told it was authentic. I thought it was a great deal if its real and if not atleast it was only $7. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It's authentic. It appears to be in great condition! Nice find.

It's a Soho mini sig small wallet but there were a number of similar styles so I'm not sure of a style number.

Hello Ladies..this pretty brief has me stumped. It has the number for an Essex but looks like a Beekman. My catalogues for that year show an Essex looking very much like the current style.. Also this seller has a two bag lot..a black Court bag and a "new" one of some style. The creed looks blurry on the 'new' one, but on my monitor looks like Made In Korea(?) Any opinions on this would be much appreciated. TIA! :smile1:

In the future, please use the posting format in post #1. Seller IDs are particularly important.

seller troyounce12

I think the bag in the listing you've asked about is okay but I'm not comfortable with either of the seller's Willis bags. (Wait for other comments on them.)

And as you pointed out, troyounce12 has a lot listing with a fake Korean made bag. As further proof of un-authenticity, the description states the serial number as 202-06.

The briefcase is probably ok and just has the wrong style number.

I can't be sure about the first Willis with the B plant code, but the second with the J8D- prefix is DEFINITELY fake, and so IS the other listing BeenBurned mentioned.

Do NOT buy from " TROYOUNCE12 " !!!
