Bag number two was originally from ebay, more than a year ago. The listing is no longer available and I can't locate the correct authentication here. I believe I had it authenticated at the time but wanted to ask again, just to be sure. I have a few others of this style, 4082 the large Soho bag, and the details of this one look good compared to the others. My only concern is the "H" plant in the US. Photos attached and fingers crossed.

"H" is considered a "floater" code. The bag is genuine.

Good morning. I have found two bags in my possession that I would love to have authenticated. The first is a Turlock flap bag, made in NYC, pre-1994. It measures 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 3. No outside pockets. One full length zippered pocket inside with one open pocket under the flap. I have included a photo of the strap attachment. I have no expertise in these older flap bags. I purchased it at a church sale, so no listing to link to. It's in rough shape but, frankly, I love the look. I'm also trying to determine if it's a spectator style or if the age has resulted in the darkened trim. So, is it authentic? Any idea of which bag it is? Does the strap look original? Any idea if it can be a spectator style? Any of these answers would be helpful.View attachment 5833477View attachment 5833477View attachment 5833476View attachment 5833475View attachment 5833474View attachment 5833472View attachment 5833473

Genuine Convertible Clutch 9635 from the mid-1980s.

I don't think it came out of the factory as a Spectator, there aren't any from that time period with black or maybe Navy (blavy?) trim. I've posted before about a tan Station Bag i used to own where the factory had replaced damaged piping as well as all the other trim with Black and even included a black strap (with the owner's approval) because they couldn't match the colors exactly. It had almost exactly the same combination of tan and black pieces as yours does and the Ebay seller explained the factory modifications in the listing. So it's a Convertible Clutch with factory modifications.

And wonder of wonders, I finally found a photo of it, the serial number was 090-9335:

Station Bag 090-9335_a.JPG

It was a very cool-looking bag but was just too small for all the junk I carry, so some lucky shopper at our local thrift got an almost-unique bag.

Good Day all. Can you please authenticate this purchase at a local thrift.
It measures approx: 8.5" X 4.5" x 8" Handle drop 20"
Thank you in advance
Lu

Thank You...I lost that bet with myself . When I looked up the #4921 Sonoma Satchel popped up - but I figured I should ask the experts just in case. Glad I did. Can you tell me style name and year sold?
Thank You
Your time and expertise is Much Appreciated!!

There's no way to pin down the exact year since there aren't any year codes in the serial number. It's probably a Bucket Bag Small from the Lightweight line and made in the late 1980s or early 1990s.

From a 1989 catalog:

That is such a great looking bag! The photo is very motivating for me to continue to rehab my bag. If it winds up as nice looking as that Station Bag I will be one happy Coachie. Thank you, again, @Hyacinth.

Hi all :) need help with a purse I bought!

Item: coach pillow tabby 18

Seller: kj-Japan, ebay

Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/3050044208...kfwjep9qrc&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Comments: purchased on eBay, but am concerned the bag is fake based on

  1. The most obvious being that the bag tag is crooked and not centered
  2. None of the packaging around the bag is similar to anything I’ve gotten from coach
  3. There’s a tiny little mark on the c lock

It's fake!

I don't recommend buying Coach items from Japan. Most of their items that were supposedly made within the last 10 years are fake.

This listing is for an authentic bag but be careful of ALL Goodwill listings, even those that come with COAs. Goodwill uses companies (more than one company) with histories of finding fakes to be "authentic."
