Comments: I believe this is a dud...my Janice does not have a slip pocket, nor the same style number...so it is at the very least misnamed...but then K3H made in the good ole US. Not about to buy the bag, I just do not feel confident in my knowledge, so I let the experts have a look-see. Thanks ladies !!!

You are correct. It's fake.

A lot of sellers list Legacy zips as Janice, either because they don't notice differences or because they want to use key words that buyers may search.

In any case, this listing from legacygoodsonline is neither!

My theory is that the letter after the style number indicates a bag that was made for sale by a specific retailer. From what I've seen, I believe that "E" indicates a bag that was made to be sold at Dillards. I don't know this for a fact but I've seen a fairly large sample of bags that came from Dillards and had E at the end.

ETA: An "E" bag could ultimately have ended up at a discounter (Nordstrom Rack, Marshall's, TJ Maxx, etc.) but it may originally have been for sale or made to be sold at Dillard's and was returned to Coach for some reason.

Because of computer problems I can only open the main photo, but what I'm seeing worries me.

Please copy the seller's photos of the creed and serial number as a Reply to this post or to your original post. Also copy the other photos in the listing especially, if available, the open flap showing the underflap pocket, and hopefully the back of the turnlock if it shows on the back of the flap.

ETA - And ALWAYS REMEMBER TO INCLUDE THE SELLER'S NAME OR ID

ETA- If it's trying to be one of the 1941 Originals versions, it may be OK. I need those creed photos. This is one reason why I don't do newer styles. I'll leave the authentication to some one who has experience with recent styles.
