It looks good to me, made in 2002

Hey Authenticators!
Can anyone authenticate this bag? Should be a Coach Nomad but not sure from when; I'm unfamiliar with coach post 1990s.

I thought things looked great with this bag until I got a good look at the serial number, and then got concerned. The seller seems genuine in believing it real and that they got it from a reputable store, but that could have been either Coach, Dillards, or Macy's--and there have been fakes sold at Macy's before. Edited to add: it looks to me like the serial number says "D1781-21025E" and there are a few other nomads with the same last numbers and letter for sale out there, so I hope this is helpful to others too!

Thank you for your expertise!

Can you please post a more legible picture of the creed. I can't read the second half of the serial number but what I see doesn't appear correct for the style of the bag. Can't authenticate without better pictures.

Hey there--I had included the image that the seller gave, but will ask for another. Until then, I altered this one in photoshop a little just in case that helps in the meantime, since I think a lot of the visibility issues came from the dark lighting. It looks to me like the serial number says "D1781-21025E". Thank you and I'll add more as soon as I can!

I am shopping for a xl duffle bag style 9085 and having a hard time telling if they are genuine. The creeds are all a little different. Would you please give me some guidance? Thank you!

All of them are authentic. The first three were all made at the same plant, but in different years.

Thank you. I think the bag looks good.

Hi! I found this beautiful vintage cosmetic case on ebay. The seller didn't list it as Coach item but I can see the embossed "Coach" on the bottom! Please and thank you for looking at this and letting me know if it's legit. I think it's 7239 a "Mini Cosmetic Case" from 1993 catalog. :) Here are some photos, as well as a link to the ebay listing.

What's "Towanny?" That's how the seller described it in both the title and description.

Either she thought it was fake or didn't see the Coach marking on the bottom but you got the real deal! Congrats!

Thank you very much! If you are able, can you explain the "E" at the end? I'd never seen it before. I will ask on another forum thread if that's more appropriate though! I appreciate you expertise very much.
Coach isn't too transparent in defining what various markings are nor have they ever disclosed how to "read" serial numbers and codes. Whatever we know is what we've figured out based on what we've seen in the thousands (tens of thousands?) of items we've seen.

My theory is that the letter after the style number indicates a bag that was made for sale by a specific retailer. From what I've seen, I believe that "E" indicates a bag that was made to be sold at Dillards. I don't know this for a fact but I've seen a fairly large sample of bags that came from Dillards and had E at the end.

ETA: An "E" bag could ultimately have ended up at a discounter (Nordstrom Rack, Marshall's, TJ Maxx, etc.) but it may originally have been for sale or made to be sold at Dillard's and was returned to Coach for some reason.

Just a note on a couple of the sellers.

I didn't look at every listing from either seller but found the following:

1. boxofhollyhocks mixes. She has this fake for $278:

2. Tootiescloset also mixes. In addition to the duffel sac that @whateve authenticated, she has this fake one for $235:

She also has this fake:

Both sellers may have other fakes but I didn't go through all. Be careful on Etsy (and Poshmark) because they don't respond to reports of fakes and rarely (if ever) remove listings.

One more tonight! Please and thank you for looking at (and I hope helping identify) this Coach wallet/card case.

I think it's okay but would like another set of eyes to look at it.

I recently had the same item (for which I didn't have a style number) and on mine, the "Coach" logo is in a slightly different location, closer to the right side whereas yours is more centered.

I rotated your picture to show a comparison:
