Hi again ☀️
Can I also request to check Coach scarves?
Got both from a thrift shop recently. I have a doubt these are authentic

Thank you ✨

First one
20” W x 60” L
No tag, feels like polyester and sheer.
Sand color with Brown trim

View attachment 5813447

Second one
Not like the 1st one, but this is like a heavy winter scarf. It has a tag. Color is Black x White.

View attachment 5813448View attachment 5813449View attachment 5813450

The misspellings, spacing mistakes, etc, on the care label of the second one are a big problem.

The "EST 1041" on the first one is an even BIGGER problem. I didn't realize that Coach was around before the Norman invasion of Britain.

Try to get your money back. And start paying attention to small but important details.

Please post more pictures of #1 including the tag, the full open and unfolded scarf and the edges/hem.

ETA: I hadn't noticed the "year" at the time I posted. Thanks @Hyacinth for being a better reader than I.

Sorry. I'd return them and demand a refund or exchange.
#2 is fake.

I have no excuse. Just confirming, I hope

Seller:
indianaticketco

Item:
204380765533

Just embarking upon two weeks of house guests. Hoping to hang this on my closet as a survival goal.
It's fine. But not a Maggie. It's a duffel sac made in 1998.

The bag is fake and yet again, Entrupy and Goodwill are wrong and their "COA" is worthless.

Since you're going to show Goodwill our authentication as proof of inauthenticity, please let them know that they really need to find a more accurate way to verify authenticity of their items than Entrupy! From what I've seen, Entrupy (and Goodwill) only have about a 50% accuracy!

Goodwill's dependence and trust in Entrupy is hurting their credibility and diminishing the good things Goodwill Industries does in helping their charitable endeavors and employment opportunities for those who are differently abled.

And in the event Goodwill does read this, they should understand that the way AI (aritificial intelligence)with Entrupy works is that errors are supposed to be made known to the programs so those errors and their algorithms can be corrected. When Goodwill blindly accepts that Entrupy is accurate and gives their buyers refunds without notifying Entrupy and allowing them to correct errors, those mistakes multiply, Entrupy and Goodwill can't be trusted and buyers get ripped off with fakes.

ETA: If Goodwill wants to see just a fraction of the errors they've made, here's a link:

The good thing is that here on the Coach subforum, we WILL help sellers (like Goodwill and others) who want to do the right thing and avoid the listing and sale of fakes. If someone from Goodwill came here and wanted to verify items PRIOR TO LISTING, they are welcome to post their pictures on this thread.
Thank you, I will send them the links

Hi, it's been a long time. Glad to see you all still here. Thank you so much for continuing to help out and educate the Coach community. I have an item I bought off Mercari I am unsure of. Thank you!
Item #: m49537162564
Listing #: Can't Find
Seller & Where Listed: Matt Jackson Stan & Mercari - Seller is selling his mom's handbags
Link: https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m49537162564/
Comments: Font, Stitching, and Size seem "off"

Hi Hyacinth! Sorry for the missing information. The listing is named "Coach Vintage British Tan Leather Crossbody Brown City Basic Flap Companion Bag". I've also attached the additional requested pictures. The first one is the back where you mentioned it having a slip pocket or not. Mine does not have a slip pocket. It is just a sewn line. The second picture is of the bottom. Thanks again!

That's really strange.

The creed and serial number seem good, but unless I'm looking at the bottom corner from then wrong perspective, it just doesn't look right. Is that short vertical seam on the base in the center of the bottom panel?

The name the seller posted is meaningless gibberish and no Coach ever used it. It doesn't look like a Convertible Clutch corner either.

MORE OPINIONS ARE NEEDED. I can't see any of the seller's photos so maybe someone who can might be able to figure it out.

The first scarf graphic also looks like a single horse with 8 legs.

I think it is a convertible clutch.

It is in the middle. I think what threw me off was the color of the stitching. Does it seem light to you?

Grrrrrr…. I need to pay more attention :(
Thank you @Hyacinth !!
I will try taking them back to the store next week.
