We need to see photos of the outside back to see if there's an open slip pocket. We also need to see the outside of the base to see the seams and one of the corners. It looks like a Convertible Clutch from the late 1980s or early 1990s. My computer can't open most listing photos or even Mercari listings but you didn't provide any photos in your post of those details.

Both are authentic.

The first one has a month and year code but they're difficult to read so I can't tell you what year it was made. (Maybe someone else can read it.)

Second one has a fairly common (human error) stamping mistake in which the hyphen stamp was mistakenly replaced with a number.
Thank you! So the second bag is Coach 8858? I've tried doing some research and cannot find it?

Would you please authenticate this wallet I received from my mother law? About 7.75 x 4
Thanks

There's no information in my files about that number but it appears to be exactly what both the price tag and label on the box say it is. Going ONLY by the serial number sequence I would date it to the early 1990s.

Nice gift!

No, that one has a pre-1994 serial number and those did NOT include the style number in the serial number. You're wasting your time looking for a number match. There's no way to identify it without more photos and measurements. It was probably made in 1988 or 1989.

Please take the time to read the Salearea Coach Guides for more details especially the sections on Coach creeds and serial numbers. Don't worry if some of the links in the early posts no longer work.

Hi, GoodWill is saying this bag is authentic. I have serious doubts. Can someone take a look at it for me? I am going to respond back to GoodWill with TPF's response on this bag. ( I know R month code... but they don't believe me)

Thank you, Tracy

The bag is fake and yet again, Entrupy and Goodwill are wrong and their "COA" is worthless.

Since you're going to show Goodwill our authentication as proof of inauthenticity, please let them know that they really need to find a more accurate way to verify authenticity of their items than Entrupy! From what I've seen, Entrupy (and Goodwill) only have about a 50% accuracy!

Goodwill's dependence and trust in Entrupy is hurting their credibility and diminishing the good things Goodwill Industries does in helping their charitable endeavors and employment opportunities for those who are differently abled.

And in the event Goodwill does read this, they should understand that the way AI (aritificial intelligence)with Entrupy works is that errors are supposed to be made known to the programs so those errors and their algorithms can be corrected. When Goodwill blindly accepts that Entrupy is accurate and gives their buyers refunds without notifying Entrupy and allowing them to correct errors, those mistakes multiply, Entrupy and Goodwill can't be trusted and buyers get ripped off with fakes.

ETA: If Goodwill wants to see just a fraction of the errors they've made, here's a link:

The good thing is that here on the Coach subforum, we WILL help sellers (like Goodwill and others) who want to do the right thing and avoid the listing and sale of fakes. If someone from Goodwill came here and wanted to verify items PRIOR TO LISTING, they are welcome to post their pictures on this thread.

Dear Authenticators,
I now have a turn lock backpack in my possession that I purchased on eBay. Measurements are approximately L7xH9xW4 inches. The only thing I really don’t like about it is the creed. It is not stamped deep enough and is totally illegibility except for the numbers. The made in tag says Vietnam. Please will you take a look? I can still return it…but if you think it is authentic and I keep will it have a resell value with that creed?
Thank you for your consideration

Hi Hyacinth! Sorry for the missing information. The listing is named "Coach Vintage British Tan Leather Crossbody Brown City Basic Flap Companion Bag". I've also attached the additional requested pictures. The first one is the back where you mentioned it having a slip pocket or not. Mine does not have a slip pocket. It is just a sewn line. The second picture is of the bottom. Thanks again!

Hi again ☀️
Can I also request to check Coach scarves?
Got both from a thrift shop recently. I have a doubt these are authentic

Thank you ✨

First one
20” W x 60” L
No tag, feels like polyester and sheer.
Sand color with Brown trim

IMG_2599.jpeg

Second one
Not like the 1st one, but this is like a heavy winter scarf. It has a tag. Color is Black x White.
