This looks like a 9966 but the creed says 4153 and the inner pocket has only 2 slots instead of 3.

Sorry but it's fake. There are other problems with the serial number vs. the creed text. It's illegal for thrifts to sell fakes despite what they may believe. I'd return it for a refund or exchange.

Please be patient when waiting for replies. The authenticators volunteer our time and do so between home, families, jobs and other obligations. If 12-24 hours have passed, it's okay to bump your post as it may have been missed.

The bag is authentic.

Hi!
I found this bag at a local thrift store and I don't purchased yet.
It's 9” x 8” x 3”

Is it authentic?

Oh, that's good to know it's authentic. Isn't it small saddle bag 9205?

I could very well be mistaken about the style number. (I often am!) Wait for someone else to advise style.
It's actually small saddle ruff-out 9208 made in the mid 70s. Go back and get it!

Hi,
That was my first guess as the dimensions and pockets align but mine has a clip wrist strap and only a short zipper pull instead of a loop.
Still stumped.
Zoe x
Does it only have loops on both sides or just one? If just one, I think it is possible it is the same style. Sometimes they made minor modifications without changing the style number.

Does anyone have any idea if this piece is authentic Coach? I've been carrying it around for a while. Got it several years back at a consignment shop. It measures 10" wide, 7.5" high, and has slim profile. Interior is unlined suede with no pockets, no creed patch. Could it be a pice that belongs inside another Coach item? There is an ID pocket, 3 pen holders, and a larger pocket to front. Thanks for your help, as always!

Welp. I emailed Posh support with the pictures, a description of the details that are incorrect, and link to your post, and here is their response:

“Thank you for providing these photos. Upon review, we have determined that the item in question is authentic vintage Coach. This is shown clearly in the details of the creed patch, the style number as well as the hardware details such as the YKK zipper. As such, we stand behind the order as it stands.

If I can help answer any other questions, please let me know as I'm happy to help.”

It wasn’t a lot of money, but that seller also sent me a cat pee scented vintage bag in the same bundle so I’m kinda miffed. Going to go talk to my credit card company.
Thank you @organicchai24 - Appreciate your help!
