She pointed to undyed leather on the inside of the pocket and in inside bottom seam of the bag. She also claimed it wasn’t glove tanned leather, which it is. I suspect she just didn’t like it when she received it.

Unfortunately, I already accepted and received the return, but I’m happy to have this confirmation so I can safely relist. Thank you so much!

Many genuine vintage Coaches have undyed leather on the insides of the pockets. And the "undyed" leather along the bottom seam is actually where Coach shaved off the top layers of leather to make the leather along the seam thinner and easier to sew. Your buyer is wrong on both points.

Happy Mothers Day to all mothers out there!

I was browsing Poshmark and saw this Station Bag with plant code E. I understand E to be an Italy plant code, and I have a few “Made in Italy” pieces but they are usually from a specific line, such as Madison, Sonoma, Dakota, Sheridan, etc… I haven’t seen a Station bag from Italy (not saying it doesn’t exist though??), so that was the first thing that caught my eye. And then I noticed in the creed, it said Made in United States, which I don’t think I’ve ever seen with an E code. Is this a fake Station Bag?

This NOT an authentication.

The request doesn't show enough pictures or information we'd need but I will comment on your question of "is this what's in the picture something they ever did?"

There have been mistakes on authentic items such as the example you've shown. Random serial numbers (pre-1994) were hand-stamped and on occasion, they wouldn't have the dial on the hyphen but would stamp an extra digit in place of the hyphen.
Interesting, thank you very much! I've seen some stamping that has lines above the numbers and hand stamping would explain that as well. Now I just need to narrow down my list a little... That shouldn't be hard ;).

It's not a "Penny" (which isn't even a name of any Coach style). It's a pocket purse and was made in 1997. The M (month code) is okay.

That comment was

Actually, that is Incorrect. Coach did make a LE 'Penny Bag' #F57460, as well as a 'Pennie Backpack' #6145.

We're referring to original VINTAGE (20 years old or older) bags, not post-2000 remakes like Outlet style F57460, which was probably made in or around 2016.

There's no such VINTAGE style as a "6145 Pennie Backpack", the post BeenBurned was replying to specifically asks about a "vintage 9755 Penny". When a discussion refers to "vintage", recent remakes don't belong in that same category. They're like two different species.

The number when used with vintage bags doesn't even belong to a Backpack and there is no OFFICIAL proof (catalogs, ads, etc) for any vintage bags with "penny" in the name. Any photos of a backpack with that number probably show a fake, unless it was the recent (2022?) remake where Coach re-used the style number. They have been re-using old style numbers for new or recycled styles for several years now and it's caused a LOT of confusion. When we use pre-2006 4-digit style numbers in this thread, we're speaking about actual vintage and pre-2006 styles unless otherwise indicated. And YES, I've made a number of corrections to my original post once I started digging a bit deeper.

Here's an example of a FAKE VINTAGE Coach style 6145 serial number, the "H" plant with "Made in the United States" creeds had been retired in 1998 and this fake shows a 2003 year code:

Style 6145 when referring to VINTAGE COACH belongs to a MONTEREY ZIP TOP GRAIN that appears in the 1999 "Coach For The Holidays" catalog shown here:
