BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item

  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Hello, could someone take a look at this purse? I have had it a few years but not used it or looked carefully. I had believed it to be a vintage Coach, but as I am getting ready to list it, I wanted to verify its authenticity. The leather feels right, the construction is solid, and I think the Creed looks good. The thing that made me wonder is the buckles. They are thinner - more delicate than almost all of the similar vintage bags I have handled. It's authentic. The buckles are solid brass. If they were bigger they would be very heavy. It's probably a classic pouch #9170 made in the late 70s or 80s.

1 and 2 - Both of the bags from Goodwill are genuine.

3- My computer doesn't work with Mercari listings, please wait for another authenticator.

What do we think? Is this a real J8D-xxxx Coach item? I looked at an example of a real J8D creed on tPf here but would love for an Authenticator to weigh in. 2 people have already bid on it
